Hoagy Carmichael (1899-1981) was a legendary singer/songwriter who. who wrote many classic songs, including "Stardust", "Lazy Bones", "Chimes of Indiana", "Georgia on my Mind", "Heart and Soul" ("Don't Think Twice, It's All Right": I'd give her my heart but she wanted my soul), "Memphis In June" ( "Tight Connection to my Heart": A hot-blooded singer, singing Memphis in June), "Shooting Stars", "Skylark", "The Tambourine Waltz", "Things Have Changed", "The Three Rivers, (The Allegheny, Susquehanna and the Old Monongahela)", etc. I don't even know half of these songs, but in the titles alone there is a lot of resonance to Dylan's work. He also appeared in movies, only about a dozen, but fairly prominent titles with big name actors like Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall, Kirk Douglas, Myrna Loy, George Raft, Vincent Price, Claire Trevor, Merle O'Brien, Doris Day, Cary Grant, Jane Russell, Susan Hayward. etc. Thanks to Daniel Olson
