I can confirm that Bob will be performing at Finsbury Park London on June 18th. The Agents confirmed formally to me this morning. Details about ticket sales are not yet available.

Which festivals are in Europe during the span of time from June 16 to July 1? Does anybody can make a guess?
Then, maybe more important: What kind of festivals this would be?

I do not intend to go to a festival like, say, Roskilde or so, where you have to stay through some other performances you not really won't to hear, only to see Bob perform a stripped-down festival set of 12 songs or the like, all of them the "crowd pleasing greatest hits".

On the other hand, if there were festivals like in Lörrach, Bad Reichenhall or Worms, this would be a different matter.

Any suggestions?

Thank you, Johanna.

Does not look very tempting, does it?

There's not that many he's likely to play, and the list doesn't include the one-artist-per-day festivals. There's hope.

Yes, that would be great. Or under the roof of a festival or not a gig in a nice outdoor arena like Gelsenkirchen 2006. (Though it would be hard for me to enter this forbidden town at all).

After the strong emphasis on NOT playing the same festival (Hop Farm) two years in a row, we probably shouldn't be looking at places that he has played more or less recently? :?:

I'm feeling all happy now! I'd much rather stay in a London travelodge or similar in a comfy bed than lie awake for hours listening to competing camp-fire Dylan sessions! My daughter seems willing to accompany me to the London Feis and won't have to be taken out of school this time if it's only for Saturday. Is anyone else here going to join us for this delightful crowd experience?

Having enthused above, I hope Bob also does a tour later in the year in places with numbered seats and toilets nearby.

All for toilets, but all against seats....

Depending on the other dates, but I guess I won't go to Feis.

Given that I live five minutes walk from the Park it would be insane for me not to go.

I can recommend some mighty fine public houses nearby if there is to be a pre-gig gathering.

I will certainly be going. Finsbury Park is only some 20 miles from my home plus my daughter lives only 10-15 minutes walk from the ground. I guess she'll be going too if Dad is getting the tickets.

I hope he throws in some indoor gigs at the week days between the festivals (like Braunschweig in 2001 for example). Otherwise I won't go to any show unless it's very near to my hometown

P.S.: Don't forget that it might be rainy and relatively chilly in Europe in June…

I should think I shall be going, just working out travel arrangements now :D . Thanks to the over-Americanisation of British culture due to shows like 'Glee' and '90210' I paid fifty Great British pounds to attend my school's senior year 'prom' on the 17th. Looks like im going to have to leave early to get the night bus to London (from Glasgow) and turn up to the festival in a suit and a little drunk

Didn't you get the night bus last year too when you went to the Hop Farm? Ah well, you're only young once...

So, I suppose there's a good change that Bob will come to the Netherlands in the autumn right? I might go to the UK to catch him at a festival but i'd love it if he would come to the Netherlands too.
