Great concert the other night, 3 hours approx. with a full house !
In honour of Bob's 70th, his Scots connections in some songs, and as it happens, fell on the exact 50th anniversary of Dylan's arrival in New York City and his first live playing there at the Cafe Wha on 24th January 1961 !

I am trying to remember the set-list so would welcome any info from anyone !- in particular, I am not sure who did these 3 songs -

Thanks - any ideas on Lay Lady Lay ?
It was a guy with a hat....(I was standing on the upper balcony !)

Yes, Rab Noakes did a great Mississippi - wish he'd had more time !

It will be made clearer if Sky TV show the whole thing - I think BBC are doing perhaps a shorter broadcast too

Right you are! and it was a fantastic Man in Me too, the house band really seemed to capture that Nashville sound. I think it's going out on radio 2 (or maybe Radio Scotland) on the 7th of February. I'll see if I can Capture it...

Set list also mentions a sturdy version of Absolutely Sweet Marie by Rab Noakes which was second song in.

I had the pleasure of a seat in the front row for this show - I hadn't been expecting to attend but got made an offer I couldn't refuse on the day of the gig. Really pleased I took it up.

Will be interested to see the telly footage. You know how in these shows they always pick out some plonker in the audience who is singing along? I'm afraid that might be me - I was aware of the onstage camera focusing heavily on me during a couple of songs - I think it was Just Like A Woman and Lay Lady Lay. Pretty sure I was fluffing the latter badly so no doubt that'll be the one!!

I had heard Josh Rouse before but this was the first time I'd actually seen him. Maybe he should play Jimmy Olsen in the new Superman movie!!

Another performance that's not included above is James Grant's rendition of A Simple Twist Of Fate.

Finally, a big plug for Roddy Hart And The Lonesome Fire - they have three excellent albums out and are worth a listen.

As per http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00y6lvh, highlights of the show will be broadcast on BBC Radio 2 next Monday evening.

It will also be shown on Sky Arts at a later date as well.
