If I were to play it I'd probably do it without upstrokes:

ddd/ddd/ddd

then again, I kind of suck on guitar.

Bloody hell... I cannot believe this question... I have a slightly soiled anorak that I am willing to sell you.

Instead of worrying about strumming patterns you should take a close look at yourself... I have no doubt that you are a so-called effing student... instead of sponging off normal folk... expecting us to put you through college with our hard-earned taxes... have a bloody shower and then go and get a job... start contributing to society instead of just take-take-effing-taking all the effing time... if you get a job you'll be able to buy a sheet-music book that actually has the music for this song.

I don't mean to sound rude... but students really get on my nerves... with their unhygienic, filthy ways... and their unpleasant odours that they emit... instead of buying effing sheet music they should buy some bars of effing soap!

If you are interested in my slightly soiled anorak PM me... I'll let you have it for a good price.

He's playing the bass note then two downstrokes on the beats. Except sometimes he puts in some upstrokes on the half-beats, and sometimes he alternates the bass notes. But mostly it's a simple dum dah dah rhythm which should be easy to copy.

Who cares? Nobody's gonna notice if you aren't doing the exact same strumming pattern as he does (which probably changes each time he performs the song anyway)

Not to mention that the album cut has no actual discernible rhythm or strumming pattern.
