Has Dylan’s winning of the Prize affected his self-image? His published acceptance speech sounded more literature than Rock ‘n’ Roll. Promotion photos for the ‘Heaven’s Door’ whiskey showed him perusing a vintage hardback against a background of stacked bookshelves. The recent photo promoting his forthcoming lyrics and drawings exhibition in London ('Mondo Scripto') shows him pen in hand, writing text on paper. Seems to me there’s a ‘literary’ phase arising. Or maybe my over-interpretation? Any further thoughts?

Nice theory. Maybe we'll only get another Victoria's Secret commercial if it takes place in a library...

I don't think the Nobel recitation has gotten proper credit as a Bob Dylan song.

I also get a sense that he's taking his words seriously these days. Serve Somebody is a great example, making more of the powerful premise than the "list song" lyric of the original. Hiding with a smoking gun? State Troopers in body armor? Father Time and Mother Earth added to the list of them having to serve the devil or the Lord???

Might be on the wagon, might be on a roll

I predict his next album is going to be a corker.
