Ignore the fat beardy bloke, I'm more interested in showing off my guitar. ;)

By happy coincidence very similar to Bob's first Martin (00015m, his was now out of production 0017).

They don't I'm afraid, just poor lighting. Here's a clearer image.

The 00017 series comes in black with white pickguard, looks beautiful, but it has a solid spruce top rather than mahogany. I always prefer to see the wood though.

I have that guitar as well. Well, it's my late wife's actually, she called it Martha.

Very sorry to hear about your wife. Great name for a guitar too.

I bought this second hand last year only two months into learning, very expensive for a beginner but I think the risk has paid off. It’s a pleasure to play, seven months later I can still barely put it down.

It’s deeply reassuring that out there exist female Bob fans around my age. Even more reassuring that you happen to be something of a stunner.

My ex-girlfriend sadly wasn’t inclined so. In one of her less illustrious moments she told me “I hope the old bastard croaks before you get to see him again”. :(

You won't see this often - me in a suit, throwing some shapes* at the weekend.

what a sweetie that old girlfriend of yours. how old are you ? I'm 29. I know one guy my age who loves Bob...that's about it. (in real life I mean) My boyfriend can't stand his voice (and harmonica), but I don't mind... it's his loss.

Yes, the almighty Bob has not yet chosen to smite her. Perhaps if I buy the deluxe Trouble No More Box Set...

I’m 29 too. I don’t know anyone my age who has bothered to listen to anything but a few of the most well known Dylan albums but can get the odd good chat going with some older colleagues at work. My music tastes have always been a bit off-kilter for my age group though, it’s not like I am not used to it.

A couple of years ago, in our back garden. I even remember what I was playing - "Bury Me Beneath The Willow". My daughter was playing mandolin, off-camera to the left.

A rare photo indeed! A “star” on the wall in bob’s studio- could have been a silent partner!
