Does Linden play Dylan's old guitar he played back in the early 90s??? Or did Gibson made models with the volume and tone knobs?? Always thought Dylan turned it into an electric/acoustic-guitar.

Gibson have been making them since the 50s.

Doesn't mean it's not Dylan's, but unlikely.

Edit: Turns out Bob's is in the Hard Rock at Niagara Falls - https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File ... tes_(front).jpg

Bob spent this part of the tour staring at his shoes, night after night.

Listening to the July 19, 2013 show with Colin Linden on guitar right now. I had seen a video of him playing slide guitar on High Water (For Charlie Patton) on youtube and was impressed but never had the opportunity to see him live and I do not recall any of his shows being made available. I am very impressed with what he adds to the sound. I enjoyed Duke Robillard's playing and was sorry to see him go. Colin was a fine replacement and Charlie's return seemed to coincide with a spark in his playing as well. To me, near the end of the 2012 tour Charlie seemed burned out or resigned, the spark or magic diminished. When he returned in 2013, he seemed to come back with renewed interst and energy.

Back to Colin Linden... I wouldn't do away with Stu or Charlie but I would enjoy a lot more of Colin's work in Dylan's shows. He is a very fine guitarist and added some sparkle to the sound.

Path...

I was at the show...I was a big fan of Colin...especially that tenacious High Water. Sad it wasn't longer. Very happy I got that experience. Fresh air during that period.

I haven't heard the show on audio...like you said...not many avail. Please share or link to youtube if you can.

Found a link on Sugarmegs. I do not recall any of the shows Colin played in showing up for download on any of the sites I peruse. I like almost every phase of the NET and have learned to appreciate them for what they are but I didn't have the opportunity to appreciate Colin's contributions to Dylan's music until now. He found his place in the band's sound and added some nice work without detracting from anyone else. Nice little flourishes and touches, sometimes a great riff or solo, and then just backs off again as Dylan resumes.
