Throughout his life various anecdotes have popped up that reference Dylan's love of boxing.

I'm trying to think of the number of Dylan songs that reference the sweet science. So far I have the below. Can anyone think of any others?

Hurricane
Clean Cut Kid
Who Killed Davey Moore?
I shall be free No.10
Gotta Serve Somebody
The Boxer (cover)
Boom Boom Mancini (cover)

You may have it all. there.I'm no fan of any one to one sports , but wondering if dylan still boxes these days? The last time I fought anyone physically was in highschool when I punched a black belt tai qwan (sp?)do in the nose.Although all the bad gangsta kids walked me home like a hero, I got arrested. Fortunately, no lasting harm to the victim (they were asking for it actually).

Sometimes it’s worth it.

Dan33185,

Thank you for all those pictures, all lined up, communicating across the decades simply and profoundly--with no words--Dylan's interest in the sport of boxing. I see (I think) that you're typing from Minnesota, the same state that produced our old bard. Dylan's certainly sparred his fair share with...so many people (himself included), ideas, events, and especially various "media" outlets, figures, just the idea of media, really, from the beginning. A piece in Snoozeweek, er, Newsweek ('63?) may have really assisted his not quite right historical relationship with the "media"--however monolithic or particular it is.

I digress. Box on, Bob! (He did sing "The Boxer" with his comrade Paul Simon back in '99, some 3 decades after the rendition on "Self Portrait," right?)

For the same reason that Gotta Serve Somebody is on the list, I will also add

Million Dollar Bash:

Well, I looked at my watch
I looked at my wrist
Punched myself in the face
With my fist

He's boxing himself!
