I know some of you already have children (even grand childrren) but what is for you the ideal children name?

I'd say Johanna or Joan or Marie for a girl and Jim or Dylan or even Bob for a boy

As a parent since 1989, I see more and more Dylans around. I chose Thaddeus for my son. He goes by "T.J." (Thaddeus John). My name is the same (Thad) as was my father's (Ted).
I don't remember running into another one for nearly 50 years.

I love the name Bobby and Bob too, but I don't think it would be the same for someone who wasn't bob dylan (if that makes any sense). But, I actually think bobby would make a nice girl's name. And I guess I'd consider calling a son Bobby, just Bobby, not Bob/Robert.
Dylan is okay, but now a day's it isn't immediately associated with bob, so I wouldn't name my kid that as a tribute to him.

i wouldn't call my kid after anything to do with dylan...it would be a BIT obsesseive! actually, i have always loved the name dylan, even before i got into him -i've got a welsh friend called dylan, and loved the name.

as a side note, my name is Jehan (pronounced Je -haan) and i used to HATE IT!!! but my parents have dylan to thank now, because i don't hate it as much now, after i heard Visons of Johanna. so -thanks bobby, if you're reading this!

oh, and i find it really ironic that one of dylan's old girlfriends changed thier name from Bonnie to "Jahanara"....how wierd is that?? its not exactly a common name....and can i just say that the "ara"at the end sounds a bit...odd.

My girlfriend and I like Poppy and Grace for girls

And Noah for a boy. I've always liked the idea of a little dylan, but she's not having it.

bless! you're only in uni and you're thinking of kids' names with you're girlfriend! that's so utterly adorable!
thats like dylan....he wanted kids when he was 19...kept asking his girlfriends to marry him and have his kids.....thats the cutest thing in the world.

as for me, i can't think of kids yet....not until 50 years or so. of course, for dylan i'd have 10 kids lol...ok, better stop this post now!!!
