CD 1&2, though fascinating, are not even close to the best.
The best of TNM is found on disks 3-6 (though I love Earl's
Court).

This set keeps on giving. The whole thing makes the 3 official releases irrelavent. (Well maybe I’ll play SlowTrain once or twice again sometime). The centerpiece is the Toronto discs, which stand alongside the best of the live albums of any era.

Earls court.
Wow.
This I believe in you is already among my all time favorite performances

Agreed, but I found the only thing disappointing about the set is Earl's Court.
When I made playlists, I found a spot for almost every track on discs 1-6,
but the only songs from that show that made the cut were Gotta Serve, When You Gonna Wake Up, In the Garden, and yes, the sublime I Believe in You.

I just realized that in the Modern Times video there is footage from some gospel show with Bob playing the piano next to Tackett and Bob is wearing the bomber jacket. Anyone know the date of this gig? And more importantly, if the Bob camp had the footage of that gig, why not release it with BS13?!??

It's summer 1981 I'd say. Well spotted. It's not from this reel, but
the footage is similar.

There's another clip of it at 3:09.

Been listening to the circulating takes of Every grain sand and came across this one that I didn't know of before:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YVaEcDG5tgk

A Travelin' Wilburys outtake with George on lead vocal and Bob in the background.

Fun, but for me the album version is still tops even though that guitar needn't have been overdubbed.

I'm not sure that is Bob, nice version from Harrison though.

I found this on the posted every grain.

It's George and Jeff Lynn on a 1988 radio talk show.
