The song, Tempest (Not the album). I find it disturbing and boring at the same time :?

More often I find myself in the opposite position, enjoying deeply songs that others don't especially care for ("Shot Of Love," "Santa Fe," "Shake Shake Mama").

Is Santa Fe actively disliked? It's such a great ditty... I had no idea.

Agreed.

That said, I can't stand RDW #12&35. Even the title is annoying.

Yes, wouldn't it be lovely if we could all hold hands and dance in a circle singing 'How many roads...' wearing Rubin Carter t-shirts

"Highlands" is a snooze for me. The sing-song melody of "To Ramona" has always made it a clunker for me. "Born in Time" has always escaped me, in either version. I always skip "Isis" and "Joey" on Desire--the first, at least, seems beloved by many. And I don't suppose many fans love it, but if they do, I think "Make You Feel My Love" is a real stinker.

You know what I'm about to say it

I don't care for the Blood on the Tracks New York Sessions (the ones on the album are great but the Minneapolis versions are way better)

I forgot this.
Yes, Make You Feel My Love is definitely my *worst* Dylan song ever.

"Wiggle Wiggle" is his "Maxwell's Silver Hammer." "Black Diamond Bay" (which I love) is his "Drive My Car."

His "Drive My Car" is "Obviously Five Believers" aka "I Want to be Your Driver" (thanks, Chuck)

"Wiggle Wiggle" is in a category of it's own or maybe with "Night After Night"

The difference is "Wiggle Wiggle" is supposed to be silly. He wrote it for his young daughter. You know, for kids.

"Til you vomit fire"? That's kind of nasty for a kid's song

All the songs (not covers) that he's done in his live show for the past decade or two. They've been played to death. That's the problem with so many great artists. They have a huge body of work, but when it comes to air play and concerts, you hear the same handful of songs so many times that you get sick of them. The songs that people use to define your favorite artist are also the songs you can't stand to hear again.
You mention Bob Dylan to the average stranger and chances are they'll come back with "EEEverrybody must get stoned!". You turn on the radio and there it is. You go to his concert and there it is (or used to be). Is there a single Dylan fan who actually wants to hear that turd of a song?

Something There Is About You
Joey
Baby Stop Crying
New Pony
When He Returns
I'll Remember You
What Was It You Wanted
Under The Red Sky version of Born In Time

No question, he must have been a strange father.

BDB is the only track on Desire that I like.

I want to play this game, too.
(at least to spread some positivity into a negative thread)
:)

Songs that are usually disliked (or underrated, at least) and I love:

1 - Journey Through Dark Heat
2 - No Time To Think
3 - On Borrowed Time
4 - Julius & Ethel
5 - Handy Dandy
6 - Precious Angel
7 - Santa Fe
8 - Mozambique
9 - Billy
10- Father Of Night
