I concur with Mickvet. I actually copied and saved your post, Going To Acapulco. Hope you don't mind ;) Coincidentally, I was just listening to Going To Acapulco this morning and I haven't listened to it in ages.

Take what you have gathered from coincidence.

I love how this song has gotten subtly quieter this year...more sinister.
Here's a very groovy version from this year. Everybody takes it easy here, far less
aggressive than it used to be. The little accents Charlie gives here are really something special...
they remind me of the ambient guitar throughout Time Out Of Mind:)
Check this one out!!

Don't get me wrong - I love the album version - but hearing this one live always makes me wish desperately he'd let it cook in the studio a little while longer.

Great rendition and video. I hope to God the best of this stuff gets released someday.

....should be replaced by "Lonesome Day Blues", the next time I'm in your show Bob. Thank you.

Totally the outstanding highlight of the recent Philly show, hands down.
Who woulda thunk it?

Just listened to the Old-chella Desert Shows...
Sounds crazy to say this but this song was the highlight both shows and IMO has never sounded better...
Bob sounds incredible singing this and the band is tight!!
LOVIN these shows:

Umm, so this song has evolved a bit over the course of the last year!!
I love the blues stops after every verse, just super playful and spontaneous
and such a cool little break for Charlie and Tony to show off.
Bob has changed this one a bit too...the lyrics seems different though I can't pinpoint where....
He sounds like he's just grooving instead of rocking it these days.
Check out this one. The breaks are off the hook
and Bob just kills it:

Those stops are a recent addition with Bob still playing it the old way
back in May. Here's a scorcher with Bob singing the song quite a bit here:

Whatever Dylan is saying in this song, he always sounds like he really means it.

Thanks for the recommendations.

Great vocal in Philadelphia.

The change I noticed was:

Speeding through the forests
Racing through the fields
You try to get away
They'll drag you back by the heels

which for some reason reminds me less of Godfather part 3 than when he sings it the other way, though the sentiment is pretty much the same.

I love the new breaks, especially when Tony sneaks a lick in. Have even heard time hang suspended here and there, though mostly when loaded.

And yes I know some say it's supposed to remind of the Godfather...but it always bugged me a little. I like the new way better.

I also prefer the more ancient and natural fields to the man-made modern-day tracks. I love those juxtapositions in the first verse, but I like this one hanging together from beginning to end with that turn-of-the-first-millennium mystical thing it has going.
