Well, as the song about the Titanic is supposed to be 14 mins long, I say the title will be Titantric

I'm hoping that the live versions will mix these shows up a bit come Fall.

More people kept a-pilin’ on

He should name it TOOM just so that when people write TOOM nobody will know for sure whether they're talking about "TOOM" or Time Out of Mind.

Either that or the title should be every lyric of the 14 minute song so that everyone will have to type out an acronym on the order of: AMDOISAODINFOSAEMOMFOGBNEOWMCPEBCOMOSMCSNONOIBNCMAPMOVNEIONOCIENONVOVFNOWCVNPMANGHHUBIUWBBGPEHQMGNUITYDVBFMHGMOWQNOVPONGIBNUIBFPASRBKBGUGKLNHKJBNYRDWPOUMXESHFQGDDTVDQGDGHJPOYMBEKLSWQLOPINDTBYCIMLAWYDDGERKYDNOAMGOWPUTLVBCUYRPADJOVMEHGWRLOYBQTCMFAWYITDRKIKIWM

. . . before they quit after the first chorus but then started again after they heard a rumor that there might be hidden messages in the letters.

He should call his new album:

Bob Dylan's First Album

We'd just call them TOOM1 and TOOM2, I think.

From today's front page:
http://www.maggiesfarm.eu/
There is even a dreamed-up rendition of the new album cover.

As quoted:

"New album rumors, thanks to all of you, but.................

I want to begin by expressing my heartfelt thanks to all those who have tried to anticipate some news or tips about the new Bob Dylan‘s album, David Hidalgo (Los Lobos' musician) and all others who, in one way or another, have tried to give us things in anticipation, things of which they are not 100% sure.
The tactic of Sony Executives has a little sense, they are trying to create a "suspense" for an artist who does not really need this stupid thing and in some ways even ridiculous.
I am on the side of the loyal followers of Bob Dylan and I wonder if and how they may be interested to all these half-statements, a kind of things like these " someone said this, someone said this other….I have heard a very dear friend of mine, expert on dylanian things, he told me that.............but he’s not sure".
For goodness sake, there's enough to cause an allergic reaction to all these bollocks.
I believe that, if someone of you will have something to say, he just have to say and support his views, and that's that, everything else is a pathetic waste of time.
If the new album will be released in October, well, we will buy it, if there is a new sound as stated by Hidalgo well, we will hear it and we will analyze it, we will try to metabolize it, if there will be a song 14 minutes long about the Titanic, well, we will be happy, hoping that the song may be one of the Bob's best. Eventually, when we had the opportunity to listen and absorb what for the moment is still the next Bob's work, we will draw our conclusions, as usual there will be people who love it unconditionally and who will say "Eh ..... he's no more the ol' Dylan we were used to listen once upon a time... ", any coin always has his back.
But at least, we will judge the album in peace, with our ears and with our minds, without ears and minds of someone who tells us and explains why and wherefores of the new Dylan work.
Perhaps may be we will err, maybe, after we will be wrong, we will repent ourselves, perhaps we will guess all the matter, and maybe we will not change no more idea, many will be satisfied and many disappointed. After listening to the new Bob's work, then we can say, "Nothing new under the sun", things that have already occurred and publicly known, with Bob's music every new release is always a new adventure and experience, sometimes intense and sometimes disappointing, just like its concerts, so we must be patient to be able finally to say our opinion freely."

Thanks to our friends at Maggie's Farm!

Then the first is gonna be TOOM97, and the second TOOM12 or whatever.

What if he calls it The One True Time Out Of Mind Released In 2012, There Is No Other, Certainly Not One From 1997 - then it'll get confusing! I think he should choose a name he hasn't used before, to avoid this confusion.

He ought to re-record "Desire" just so I could see what Bennyboy has to say.

From the front page (no link available)
Quote:
New Bob Dylan release confirmed in Sony Music Newsletter week 22: UPCOMING HERBST 2012 Bob Dylan - "TBA" - VÖ: TBA

Herbst = fall / autumn
VÖ (Veröffentlichung) = release date
in German :D

Can we call the album TBA for the time being? :P

All this talk of the album title reminds me of the discography section in the Uncyclopedia article:
