The sibilance on some of the redbook remasters is awful. Especially the early stuff like H61 and Desire. Not everywhere on the cds but every now and then Dylan's vocals are shrill and hissy.

I hadn't thought about the sibilance, per se, but those remasters sound a lot worse to me now than they did back when they came out. Very little warmth...

I couldn't have said it better! They sounded good to me too when they first came out but since then I've gotten new speakers and better equiptment and now I'm wondering how I ever thought that they sounded so good.
