Sorry - I misunderstood. That's only compilations, you're right. I'll see if I have the complete show.

On the very last night of the touring year 1997, Bob pulled out this gem and delivered a gorgeous and brooding
version of this. Bob delivers his all and finds beautiful shades of grey that are intrinsic to these lyrics...
The band rips into this one as well and they all deliver a magnificent version of this one.
If you've never heard this show, do yourself a favor and dl the whole thing.
But here's I & I since I gushed over it so...

A year later and the song is even more brooding than ever.
A muscular take of a great song in the middle of maybe his best sounding tour ever...

Bob Dylan asked him how long it took to write "Hallelujah." "Two years," he told him. "I really like 'I and I.' How long did it take you wrote that?" Dylan told him a mere 15 minutes.

If its good enough for Leonard Cohen, its good enough for me.

People, people, people! You are all fumbling in the dark. The definitive version of I & I is from my native Oslo 1995.
I've even youtubed it for yer pleasure!

Thanks for all these versions of I & I. I can never get enough. Except those rambling 1993 versions...

He could give I & I a good run with his current voice.

Just dragging this over here from a generic thread in the Tours forum.

Since we’re getting organized by Track Talks...

That's quite something considering that the song was done only once in both years (and never again since).

So this is the last live I & I (Nov 1999).
Wouldn’t it be fun if it isn’t the last?
