By the way, I found this interesting post about the title song at Youtube:

"I think Dylan is about life. Like dirt, we can't always digest it, but what grows out of it is sometimes bitter, sometimes sweet. I am a black man who grew up listening to Dylan for years, and I've tried my best to keep my head above the 'Emperor's New Clothes syndrome,' but sometimes I have to ask myself, "Is this guy a genius or full of shit?" Which, if you think about it, is just like good dirt."

Wasn't that supposed to be a photo Sara took of him in Israel?

According to the venerable Alan Fraser at his invaluable "Searching For A Gem" website, the photo was taken in the Mojave desert.

Quote:
Under The Red Sky, US release, Columbia 46794 (LP), CT 46794 (MC), CK 46794 (CD), 11 Sep 1990

The album dedication to "Gabby Goo Goo" is now thought to be to Desiree Gabrielle Dennis-Dylan, Bob's daughter by Carolyn Dennis, born on 31 Jan 1986. At the time it was thought the front photograph was taken in Israel, but it was actually in the Mojave Desert in California. The rear photograph shows Bob on a front porch somewhere in the USA, with a US flag in one of the flower urns. Both photographs are copyrighted by Bob himself, but credited to Camouflage Photo, which doesn't actually exist!

"Searching For A Gem" is one of the most useful and authoritative Dylan websites, with a massive amount of detail on all of Dylan's recorded output - check it out if you're unfamiliar with it:
