Seeing the medal ceremony put me in mind of
"Day of The Locust". The song, and the way he
describes the whole situation in Chronicles.

I just copied what the rev had put up in the beginning of the White House Freedom Award thread about her - by the way, I LOVE your avatar!

No, I don't think he was acting last night; sometimes he does, but I don't think he was last night. He probably does have Asperger's. His leg was moving a lot and just the way he walked up there and then stood in front of the President. I am not saying this derisively; I don't think Asperger's is bad at all; I think it is a gift - I really do. :D He wouldn't be the Bob we love if he wasn't different. Love, Joanna XOXOX P.S. Look at that face!!! :D

I have often thought the same thing. Does a condition like Aspergers get stronger with age?

Hey, c'mon you guys! Bob Dylan doesn't have Asperger's! He has always seemed to be rather shy and doesn't like social situations where there is a lot of attention focused on him. (like yesterday). He's been jiggling that leg his entire life according to a lot of his friends. A nervous habit. I've never before heard anyone speculate that Bob has a neurological/developmental disorder because he's shy. Please, enough with this already.

I'm not saying he has it, but that speculation has been around like forever.

Not that I've ever heard. It's kind of rude to see it here, isn't it? Based on him being fidgety at an awards ceremony? I think it's disrespectful.

Doubtless, but put it through the ER search function and you'll come up with some results.

Oh, you mean there's been speculation on this discussion board. I'm not surprised. I thought you meant in the real world.

That doesn't diminish it's rudeness.

You weren't a member here when people used to start incredibly obnoxious threads like "Is Bob mentally ill?" that went on for pages and pages. There were new rules outlined a couple of years ago that there would be no more disrespect shown to Bob or his family. Things get pretty loose around here in terms of jokes. That's one thing. There can be fun to be had there and people recognize when others are joking. But completely unfounded speculation about Bob having strange neurological or psychological disorders just so people can entertain themselves chattering about this man like he exists for their personal amusement and isn't deserving of some kind of basic dignity - sorry to see this going on here. I don't think that's what most ER members joined here to see.

Oh yes, I saw some of those - I was on here before the date in my current profile. I have my own thoughts on there matters, but I'll only say here and now that if he wasn't different from most people in some way or form, he wouldn't be Bob Dylan, with that poetic-artistic vision. You might want to look up an article called The Psychosis Of Dreams, but then again, maybe you wouldn't want to consider it.

I'm fine thank you.
Are you sure that the lady is Carolyn Dennis? There is an information that he was singing with his mother in law. Carolyn's mother.
There is a picture form the same day. Look! Carolyn is the first right. Just behind her, her mother.

Carolina, yes.....I found the picture already placed together on a facebook page and just brought it here. I take no credit at all. It's great, isn't it? He looks so much like himself, it's as if he hasn't changed at all! :D

Here we go again with the Carolyn thing. I thought it was Carolyn Dennis.
Aren't the others Regina Havis, Mona Lisa Young, and Helena Springs? Later on he brought on Queen Ester Marrow, Clydie King and Madeline Quebec and I thought Madeline was the mother of Carolyn Dennis...I may not have the correct faces to the names. Or facts...someone please correct me if wrong!

Thanks again, Doomed! :)
I picked that Bob avatar because it's just like me: trying to see from afar :) So little info about Dylan where I'm from, I'm just taking the first steps and learning, and ER has a big amount of good information. Glad I found it!
