Johanna, Do you have the book Through The Eyes of George Alper? One of the guys who helped put it together lives near me and he is an art teacher at one of the high schools. He had a garage sale and he remembered me from a concert in 2009 and he gave me the book. He had huge photos that are in this book in his house for sale. I think the pictures with the kids are so cute. Milky has this book too. Love, Joanna XOXOX

No, sadly, I don't have it. I don't think it ever went on general sale (amazon etc). I would like to get it, I love those photos of Bob's innocent early years. It's sad to see how sometime in 1964-65, all innocence goes out and he's suddenly a very tough character.

I know the general area where the guy lives who gave me the book. If I am over in that area; I will try and find his house and get one. He had quite a few and the photographs were awesome. He said they sold them for about $150 (they were quite large), but he would give me one for $50, but I didn't have the money. His name is on the thanks list; I just have to remember which one he is! Love, Joanna XOXO

Thanks for the link, Blue. I remember reading though that there were massive problems when people ordered the boo from the author, with books not delivered and money not returned.

Most online retailers have free delivery, and you get books a lot faster than you would at a bookstore. I tried ordering a US release in my next door bookstore once, it took them three months to get it. It's not good for the bookstores, I know, but I buy all my books from reliable online sources such as amazon and book depository these days.

 WHAT three months
It doesn't take so long in my bookstore two /three days maybe a week for a book ... magazines are there the next day and it doesn't matter which country the book/magazine comes from .

Yeah, Joe had lots of problems when he published this book. He didn't expect all the demand and didn't print enough copies to fill orders.

I talked to him for quite a while at the Newport Folk Festival where I bought my copy and a copy for my friend, Clarx, for her birthday. He's a very nice guy.
I do believe that after he got the kinks worked out of his process, people's orders were filled. If you really want one I can look around here. He doesn't live far from me.
