Have the songs been made public yet, or are you just suggesting some inside information? If so, feel free to share :)

Beyond the particular songs chosen, do you know if the images (including the lyrics) are simply in black and white? It does not sound like paint was added to the drawings, but maybe he used different colors in the drawing pencils. Any info?....grave

Unfortunately sworn to secrecy. Can share that they’ll be 1250 pounds in the USA in the beginning and the edition size is 495 per title. 10 titles total and one super bonus title.

Sorry to be so cryptic but inside sources are valuable and this a public forum. I have to protect my relationships. I can say one song not included, which I thought would be one I'd like to have seen.

Tangled up in Blue

With that aside, the list is IMHO stellar. All are iconic songs, some mega-iconic (wink wink) and I'm sure several will sell out quickly, as this is Bob on himself. Whatever you have in mind is probably a decent guess. I believe the artwork is pencil sketches with no added color. I'm curious of the size of the pieces, how they will be formatted with the lyrics and images, and if they will be signed too (I assume they will be).

I hope to share more soon, but I can't just yet.

Quite excited about these new editions coming out though...

to the grave...you thinking of purchasing one ?

Some eagle eye reckons they have zoomed in on the piece of paper Bob is writing on and has suggested 'Shelter From The Storm' 8)

If that is what he is writing in the photo, it is not one of the songs. Another good one though. I can't help but wonder. Will this be a one and done or will he do more? Both have advantages and disadvantages. As I said before, Tangled Up in Blue isn't on the list, and I'd like that one but more pieces always hold the risk of devaluing the population of the pieces as a whole.

Based on the information I have at this point (likely from the same source as MJC), I'm not thinking that I will make a purchase from this release. I think that I like the idea more than I will like the execution. I also don't love the increased edition number of each work, which perhaps makes it unlikely that each is hand signed by Dylan. I also do not live in a huge house, and I am running out of wall space with all of my other Dylan works; I know, not a bad problem to have....grave

I'm surprised at the lack of posts/interest on this thread. This is Bob interpreting his own lyrics through drawings, as mentioned earlier it's going to be like a Bob on Bob, the man who wrote the actual songs and it's new works.

Perhaps it's been overshadowed by the More Blood, More Tracks bootleg?

It does seem that the works will be hand signed as usual, despite my near disbelief that Bob is physically signing thousands of these things. But I have also always expected more interest in these releases, especially this one with his decision to match lyrics with drawings. Maybe the price of the graphics has always kept many Dylan fans on the sidelines with a lack of interest in even discussing the work. The strange thing is that it seems that more discussion happens when it is discovered that he took images from other sources.

I also should say that over the last couple of days, I have shifted back to thinking that I will likely make a purchase with this new release. I will probably change my mind a few more times as we wait to see the images in a couple of weeks....grave

You are quite right on all points you mention.
That's good news that they are hand signed as well. Are they only available in box sets I wonder ? Or can individual drawings for a particular song be purchased ? Suppose we'll have to wait and see.

I'm already selling things on ebay to try and raise some money

Oh, I would definitely assume that the individual pieces will be available. I suppose the only possibility would be that the special Knockin' portfolio would not be available on its own. That somewhat happened with the Train Tracks Portfolio 2018, which was initially only made available as part of the entire 2018 Drawn Blank set.

Otherwise, all of the earlier releases would suggest that the 10 standard images will be available for individual purchase, and probably the special portfolio will also be available at a unique price. Good luck with ebay selling!....grave

Thanks grave.

I wonder how Bob decided on those particular songs ? He had a lot to choose from.
Roll on the beginning of October, want to see these pieces.
Bob's hands must be aching from all the signing
