Only four more days! :D
I'm really looking forward this one. I guess I'll give this forum a rest for a couple of days to not spoil any set list surprises...

They didn't sell any tickets for the upper tier sections. Still, quite big.

Perhaps you didn't see it: You don't have to do the torrent thing for the Beacon show, if you don't want it.
Beacon 2018 (CC) is available since four weeks: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=97314&hilit=beacon+2018
The Düsseldorf show will be posted here in a week or so because of spot's wish.

You're welcome! Yes, I think it was a good, solid show. A few flubbed lines here and there, but nothing too distracting. I'll write a few more words tomorrow if I find the time.
It's too bad tomorrow is a work day...

Glad you made it Depp.
This is a Great Bob Period which will take about
a decade for the rest of the world to realize.
At least the Bob-world.

Three shows in and the live setlist thread is only one page the day after the show. You can really feel the excitement!

Well without new arrangements or songs, there is little to discuss...

So, a few words about my concert experience of last night. It was my third time seeing Bob after attending the Tübingen show in the summer of 2015 and the second Berlin show in the fall of the same year. In 2017 and 2018, I skipped the shows in Germany because my interest had waned a little. Also I would have had to travel to another big city. All in all, I couldn't afford that at the time.
When I heard some of the incredible performances from last year, my interest in Bob's current performance art reappeared and so there was no question that I had to see him the next time around.
Beforehand, the songs I was looking forward to the most were ones that are still rather new in the set: Cry A While as well as Gotta Serve Somebody; one of my all time favorites Trying To Get To Heaven; and the ones that have been around forever but I never grow tired of: Things Have Changed, Pay In Blood, Scarlet Town, Soon After Midnight, Early Roman Kings.

1.Things Have Changed
ModBobs signature song, so unless he radically changes the approach to his live performances, it's still aproppriate to open the concerts with this. The intro music beforehand reminded me of the instrumental that was played around 2002. I have to say I miss Stu's acoustic intro, that was much more effective.
2.It Ain't Me, Babe
Not much to say here, just that I enjoyed it despite the worn out arrangement.
3.Highway 61 Revisited
Was looking forward to this one and Bob didn't disappoint. He spat out the lyrics. It was quite the experience for me to actually hear him sing those famous opening lyrics in person.
4.Simple Twist Of Fate
This is one of the songs I wouldn't miss if it was dropped. The lyric changes ("back in '58") don't do much for me. This was also the first time Bob pulled out the harp and it was beautiful.
5.Cry A While
The current Rumble arrangement is quite effective. It's close behind the jazzy 2014 arrangement. I was looking forward to hearing the "could be your funeral, my trial" line sung live, but Bob totally flubbed it :D
6.When I Paint My Masterpiece
Unlike some others, I'm not a fan of the song in this incarnation. Because it is mostly Bob by himself on piano, the arrangement also invites some of the negative aspects of Bob's live performances, like the dreaded upsinging. I'm not a big fan of any live version of this song though, so I'm not the best to judge.
7.Honest With Me
I'm quite neutral about this one...
8.Tryin' To Get To Heaven
After Cry A While, this was the second highlight of the evening for me. One of the best songs on TOOM and Bob did it justice.
9.Scarlet Town
Great song, fine performance, despite the occasional flubbed line.
10.Make You Feel My Love
A lot of people hate this song it seems... I don't.
11.Pay In Blood
I like the mellower approach to this one, very effective.
12.Like A Rolling Stone
The crowd cheered when they recognized this one. The current arrangement isn't very effective though. The sloooowww choruses cause the song to completely lose its momentum.
13.Early Roman Kings
One of the songs from Tempest that really improved in the live setting and I've yet to hear Bob give a lacking performance of this one.
14.Don't Think Twice, It's All Right
Just like Masterpiece, this arrangement just meanders. It's a pity, since they did a much better version last year in spring (Florence!)
15.Love Sick
Like Early Roman Kings, one of the songs Bob performs consistently well. It was done in a mellower arrangement than the one I heard in 2015. Not sure which one I prefer.
16.Thunder On The Mountain
There was quite an interesting moment by the end of this one. It was the one time during the concert when the band were letting loose and rocked out. The audience reacted accordingly. I wished there would have been more moment like these.
17.Soon After Midnight
I know some members want to see this one gone from the set. Personally, I liked it a lot better than Masterpiece or Twice. It's clearly an inferior song, but the performance was much more melodic.
18.Gotta Serve Somebody
The third highlight of the evening. Performed similar in style and lyrics as during last year's fall leg. What can I say, I think Bob really enjoys this one.
19.Blowin' In The Wind
Boring...
20.It Takes A Lot To Laugh, It Takes A Train To Cry
Fourth highlight. I didn't expect to like this all too much, but I did. Charlie's guitar sounded expectionally well on this one.

Small detail: bob and the band took a bow at the end of the set. I think this not very common. I took a "quick" picture  https://www.instagram.com/p/Bv2nGiSHop1 ... wain914e2b

Thanks for the pic, Crayfish!
I followed the strict ban of cameras and even mobil phones.

I enjoyed the concert very much yesterday - no Sinatra stuff!
It was very touching to see Bob bowing 2 times.
It reminded me that he his an old man and will not be there forever.
And we had nice meetings before and after the show!

I really enjoyed the show!

Bob's voice, his piano and harp were equally sharp. The way he hammered the keys in some songs (e.g. Cry A While) reminded me of guitar shredding in heavy metal. He was in a really good mood. Before both bows, he pranced around the stage and enjoyed the reaction of the audience.

Funny how different I experienced some the songs compared to depp91. I guess that's a good thing, because it means there are no bad songs in the set, they just appeal to different people.

My highlights were:
When I Paint My Masterpiece
Don't Think Twice, It's All Right
It Takes A Lot To Laugh, It Takes A Train To Cry
Thunder On The Mountain
and
Like A Rolling Stone.

In my opinion, the sloooow parts of LARS were a great addition. You could really feel the electricity in the air during those moments, as the audience awaited the explosion of the song ramping up again.

I thought it was a fantastic evening, it was my 10th Bob Dylan gig, my first was in 2011.

Normally my favorite tracks of Dylan’s live performances over the past few years are the tracks from Moden Times, Tempest, Time Out of mind and Blood on the Tracks. But on this performance the stand out tracks where ‘When I Paint My Masterpiece’ and ‘Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right’. The band played quietly while Dylan played these classics songs in the new style of his performance.

You could see Dylan was enjoying the evening and the bow at the end was something not to be understated.
