Considering that the release date of the "forthcoming album" was on October 13 of last year, not so much, I'd say.

I say its all a conspiracy. Duke knew too much. That is why he had to be let go.

Regardless, personally, I still enjoy Duke & appreciate the “Duke Days.”

I'm surprised that Duke doesn't sleep with the fishes. He knows too much to live.

I just barely missed hearing him with Bob Dylan. When I got the tickets he was in, when the show arrived he was out.

He told ppl the story. Just not publicly. And he told it to ppl he didn’t personally know. Why tell a negative story to Bobs fan base who are only going to twist the behavior and blame Duke?

Perhaps Duke is probably avoiding the “blame the victim” syndrome, IMO

Hi Amos, if you know the REAL story, please tell. He probably didn't stare at Bob. Sheesh, the band members were afraid to look at anything but Bob the last time I saw him. Five years and it seems like yesterday. Life is funny that way. I hope you are doing great. I don't like Facebook and I was listening to Blonde on Blonde and I missed this place suddenly. Love, Joanna xoxo

Can anyone recommend a particularly good show from Duke's run in the band?

Thank you! I'm hopeless at remembering the different band compositions and changes!

Did you see Duke perform with Bob? Duke would start solos and stay in his own world, not once looking at his boss for a approval/ disapproval. Bob constantly had to phrase differently or bang on his keys or harmonica to signal to Duke what’s up. Eventually he got sick of it and fired him. The rest of the band are and have always been glued to Bob. Not Duke tho.

It made for some good shows. Lots of new energy going into the songs with Duke at the guitar helm not listening to BobMan.

Hard to tell who’s sayin’ what anymore.

Bottom line: Duke isn’t one for leashes.
Not sayin it’s good or bad. It just is.

Nice to see Johanna back!

It is really nice to see you Barefoot! I haven't figured out the quotes yet! Lol. Also, my new Kindle is changing my words, but I found the edit key a few minutes ago. 8)

For me

6/26/13 West Palm Beach, Florida (first night of the 2nd leg with Duke)

was one of the best shows in the past five years.

Great set. Great recording.

Cry A While & Honest With Me in completely new Blues-arrangements. Lovely.

I think, Duke was too dominant at that songs. So, they had to leave after that show. Too bad.

If you'll review this entire thread, you may find that it was so much more than Duke being dominant.

I do not understand your remark. What do you mean concretely?

I just wrote about the great onetimers Cry A While and Honest With Me - and why I think, they had to leave after one night!

Ah, I see.
I guess I'm the one who needs to read a little more carefully
