When I understood it right (am German), Bob mentioned the Berlin Wall in Gotta save somebody. Something like "You might be somebody who keeps the bar down at the border.... at the Berlin Wall." Did someone else realise this? Or was it just a wish in my mind? :D

There were two bicycles standing next to his bus before the show. Maybe he visited the nearby East Side Gallery.

In Magdeburg it sounded like „you might be on the borderline, in Berlin at the wall...“ :-)

Just listened to the Berlin tape posted by depp91.
I didn't hear any mention of Berlin or the wall, only lines that were already sung last year, just in different order.

But I've had my fair share of mishearings, too, so it's all good.

No Berlin Wall in Berlin's Gotta Serve Somebody, as far as I can hear.
"You may be on the borderline holding up the bar"(that's what I hear) would be a little bit out of time, if Bob did realize, that the Berlin Wall fell down years ago (and even if Bob lives outside of my world I'm sure he did)

Mickey Mouse: Orphan's Benefit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PmTzIQ1IrEk

"Originally Released on August 11, 1934.
An ensemble performance emceed by Mickey includes piano playing,
an adagio dance (not to be missed), an operatic number,
and numerous attempts by Donald Duck to recite "Little Boy Blue.""

Little boy blue
come blow your horn
the dish ran away
with the spoon
home again Saturday morn
he never gets up before noon

well she used to render you
legal and tender
when you used to send her
your promises boy
a diller
a dollar
unbutton your collar
and come out and holler
out all of your noise

so little boy blue
come blow your top
and cut it
right down to the quick
don't sit home and cry
on the fourth of July
around now you're
hitting the bricks

so abracadabra
now she disappeared
everything is canada dry
So watch your behavior
and rattle your cage
With a bottle of bourbon
goodbye

so little boy blue
lost little bo peep
she fell through
a hole in the nest
Now ain't it peculiar
that she is finally cooled

your big wheel is
just like all of the rest

whenever it rains
the umbrellas complain
they always get
played for a chump

so mark it and strike it
she's history now
And you're hanging out
at the pump

little boy blue
come blow your horn
the dish ran away
with the spoon
home again Saturday morn
he never gets up before noon

well she used to render you
legal and tender
when you used to send her
your promises boy
a diller
a dollar
unbutton your collar
and come out and holler
out all of your noise

A fine observation, Schools.
Good idea with the white tape to guide Bob in the dark.
We don’t need him tripping.
At least not the stumbling kind.

Barefoot, not to belabor the point but do you mean
the monitor facing Tony like I did, or Charlie's monitor?

I was trying to point out
the third photo in this instagram stream
-- since the tape wait is killing me!! --

https://www.instagram.com/p/Bv5AR0SnDr5/
has an unbelievable snippet of scarlet town,

this song has been wanting to get to to this effulgent point
for a couple years now. what an achievement!

I mean the journey there, does no one see?

Hey Schoolie!

There’s a quick Scarlet posted from tonight’s
Prague1 worth checking out, as well as
Takes a Train to Ride On — ‘Secondo’ did nice work!
It’s in the Prague Live Set thread.

Meanwhile, I knew what you meant by Tony’s
monitor looking like a giant book mirage...
The tape I was talking about was on the floor
around Charlie’s monitor and the runway from the piano.

Enjoy! I’m not so sure evERyone realizes just how
freakin’ great Bob’s shows sound right now.
If ever there was a time to get back on the horse, this is it.

Dude you say that every year, gimme a break, he sounds ok

you like to live with your head in the clouds, not that there’s anything wrong with that but wouldn’t a step back for perspective be nice every now and then

Speaking of perspective....
Talking about the NET while sitting at one's computer and reading through a list of songs doesn't tell you much about how great it really is at the moment.
Going to a concert, seeing and hearing it live is another thing.
Maybe Bob has been better in the past from the perspective of someone who attends a dozen shows in a month. But for a "normal" concert goer who sees him and the band for one night, 2019 offers a truly amazing experience that doesn't have to hide behind any year in his (or anyone's) performance history, in my opinion.

I do? Hmm, I kinda struggled through the live Sinatra period.
And, no, everything hasn’t been Hunky Dory over this past decade.
Somehow it keeps getting better & better. Quite the pleasant surprise.
Something broke wide open last Summer again and it’s up even another notch!

It’s all hidden in plain sight by the so-called ‘Static’ list.
Go to a show and it’s obvious how excellent this time period is.

Take a look at Secondo’s phone clip at the
end of the 2nd night in the Prague thread.
We’re in the thick of it and some folks just won’t
realize it till later, if ever. It’s real good right now!
