Got a mail from a very reliable source (inner Bob manangement circle an most times correct) which says that there are still no shows planned for 2012 and there will be no announcment this year!

We will see it can be surely wrong to take us to the wrong path!

I think there will be only small shows 2012. Perhaps 10-20, a new album and Chronicles II. His actual voice will not make it through 60-90 shows next year. Time to rest than it's possible for a larger tour starting 2013.
So it will be the end of the so-called NET!

I don't think we had announcements last year, at this time.

Maybe Bob's joining the growing group of stars to get vocal surgery?

We definitely need him to tour on election day to over-analyze what he says or sings!

Could be that he's working on more paintings, sculptures, Chronicles II (or maybe III to release them non-sequentially), an album or a sequel to Masked & Anonymous?

Now, that would be the end of an era. However, I have got to admit that this idea crossed my mind recently, too. Maybe Bob said to himself, "I'll tour till im 70 and then it's time to go". What better time to stop the Never Ending Tour? Who knows... let's see what happens at tonight's concert.

Be that as is it may, I'm still hoping that this is not the end.

Maybe in light of Andreas Gursky's Rhein II photo selling for $4.3 million, Bob's going to focus on taking pictures of rivers and maybe the occasional photo of Cindy Sherman.

He deserves a break after all this time; he ain't exactly a spring chicken these days. As long as he's enjoying himself, I'm happy for him. :)

I hope the never ending tour never ends. Not sure why , but it gives me hope ... I don't think Bob will stop performing though. What a sad thought ! Maybe he will take a break to rest or write something . He must be tired . He's been on the road for years . What a trip it was! I still don't think he will ever stop. I 'm ready for another round . I have to see him again , at least once , now that i really I ( think i ) get what he's doing. I have to !

If he takes a break from touring to write some Chronicles and maybe work on a new album, I'll have no problem with that!
But I don't think he will stop touring after tonight, there will be more!

I really could understand if this guy needs a break after the intensive touring of the past years. May be it is also time to get new ideas. Of course I hope there will be new shows in the future ! But I think Dylan is not the type of musician who anounces his last tour or last show. In an interview he said he could stop touring at any time.

Probably if that is true.

Anyway, I don't think it means that. Probably Bob will spend the beginning of the new year working in some project. Maybe Chronicles, maybe a new album... Who knows. Then he will go back to the road on March-April and resume the NET.

Doesn't it seem the most likely and not-so-strange?

i see no hope in sight for the NET, its a dead horse thats been well and truly flogged. i hope it is the end. i hope he takes a long extended break and comes back and does a handful of little shows every now and again.
