Well, you did question if there ever had been a show in a "bullring" that wasn't GA. I haven't forgotten. However, do you know for certain? Personally, I've never been to a bullring. Have you been to the arena in question? In the pictures of it, it does have places for seating but I guess you could probably choose to sit if you like. There was that option in Nantes 2010 if I remember correctly.

borisw asked the promoter about GA or not in a mail and got the answer that it would be the case, at least in the "parterre" area.

The show with the optinal seats you're thinking of in 2010 was Marseille. That was kinda weird, security forced everyone to maintain seated pre show, even though we all had GA tickets. They said standing would be all right as soon as the lights go out...
Nice rush...

It wasn't quite as weird in Nantes. The floor was GA, but so was most of the arena. That is, you could use seats if you wanted.

Yes, me to. As I understood it, there was only one ticket category.

I bought my tickets to collect at a FNAC store. I prefer real tickets to e-tickets, and to paying 14.90€ in postage to outside France.

I got mine as already mentioned. But right now the fnac site says no tickets available, is it sold out already? I mean, it´s a spectacular but not a huge venue!

Still i can´t imagine that. IF it really is the case it would suck as i haven´t ordered yet.

Looks like it is indeed sold out, at least on fnac.com and on the festival website

Good thing I changed my mind. Originally I thought to get all the French tickets next week.

I'm not surprised, a few days ago, Björk tickets for the same festival were sold out in five minutes (more or less)..

Somebody told me yesterday the capacity of the venue was 10.000, surely he did not sell that many tickets in 12 hours? Or do they give lots of tickets to VIP, press, etc?

My mistake, i thought we were talking of Nîmes...
The theatre in Lyon must have a capacity of 3000.
It's not big, but i doubt he will sell that in less than one day, seriously.

Built by Auguste in 15 B.C, this is the France's oldest theatre (4700 places).
In 119, the capacity was able to reach an impressive 10700 places. The two Roman theatres that stood on the Fourvière hillside, one large and one smaller, were built on the site where Lugdunum was founded in 43 BC. The vestiges of a district which housed artisans can also be seen. Every summer the Théâtre and the Odéon welcome the 'Nuits de Fourvière' festival, where a wide range of events and plays are put on show for the public to enjoy.
