The is a chance they could announce 3-5 more gigs in a little while. It seems they have done it like that previously.

Looks like $209 is the confirmed price for the premium tickets in Melbourne :D Definitely precedent for additional Australian show announcements. In 2014 I attended all 4 Melbourne shows, the 1 in Canberra and all 5 in Sydney - on that tour only one show had initially been advertised in Melbourne and Sydney, with extras added presumably after it became apparent that there was demand for them. My budget is more limited this time, but I'd be thrilled to get tickets for a second Melbourne show if one were to be announced (fingers crossed at a more intimate venue).

and beware of the ticketmaster aus and ticketmaster nz websites which use a 'dangerous web site' ticketmasterau.inbenta.com or ticketmasternz.inbenta.com

My security software claims these are known dangerous websites. May be of no consequence but......

It's a cheap flight to Melbourne, mate; and we're the world's most liveable city, too — if even for a couple of nights — if you haven't heard.

It would be pretty cool seeing Dylan play at the world's end, but I think it's very unlikely.

From what I can see, he's only visited Tasmania once: April 1992, when he played a show in Launceston and a show in Hobart the following night. It could happen, but it'll mean adding another crossing of water to his Australiana tour for not a whole lot of gain besides the novelty of doing it; Hobart holds a population of just over 220,000 and Launceston is under 85,000, and those buses of his would be extremely difficult and costly to either get across the ditch or hire once over there, not to mention the difficulty traversing the landscape.

My thoughts exactly. Those shows would be the hardest to sell (and they would not be in competition geographically with any others), so announcing them later doesn't make much sense.

THe only way I see them happening would be if the open dates on the schedule are reserved for additional nights in Melbourne and Sydney and they can't make them happen because of slow ticket sales and would have to look for alternatives. Even then Canberra is probably more likely than Tasmania.

I'd say we know of all the cities he will visit, any additional dates will be added in these cities.

Pre-sale opens tomorrow morning at 9am.

I don't think I can help myself, I might just need to get the best possible seat in the house, and if another, smaller show is announced for Melbourne, I'll just need to buy another! I shouldn't be spending such money but something tells me this will be the last time I see Dylan, unless any future travels of mine in the next couple of years cross his path by chance.

Also, if it's a smaller venue that he announces for Melbourne, there's also a chance that he'll play a different setlist, like last time he was here and announced a surprise club show in Brisbane with a completely fresh second act. Something tells me I'd still be bummed if I happened to miss out on Dylan's static setlist for this year, the one he's honed and presented to us all for his own reasons.

I know it's been said for decades, and I don't mean to be a pessimist nor make rude proclamations, but I can't help but hear a faint voice ask whether this will be his last Australian tour; considering he recently tends to travel down-under roughly every four years, he'll be around 81 next time he thinks of returning, and you'd have to be forgiven for assuming that touring closer to home would make sense in his later years, come what may.

I don't know — better to be on the safe side.

We might have gone in at the same time as I was being told I'd be sitting section C in row K seat 30, but I took another look at my bank balance and ended up deciding not to buy them. I'm going to wait out for another Melbourne show to be announced.

Worst case scenario, if this truly is Melbourne's only show, is that I'll just buy what I can find last minute.

I'm waiting for another Melbourne show also. I was trying to by bronze tickets for a group of 10 (2 x 5 due to ticket limits.) I wasn't able to get these. Fingers crossed for another show.

I’m quite happy, row C for Perth and row 11 for Wollongong. Hopefully he’ll put some more dates on when I save up a bit more.

October 13 in OK seems quite early, considering that he usually start up in WA/OR/CA? Last time he played there is was October *22*, 2016.
