News about the great Martin Carthy (The Joker and the Thief )
- Got a big show tomorrow, Saturday: How many roads must a man walk down? MANY, if your name happens to be Bob Dylan.
This Saturday at 11AM PST, join Erik Nelson and very special guest, Princeton history professor Sean Wilentz
for a live, three hour deep dive into the formative years between 1956 and 1963 that made Bob Dylan — Bob Dylan.
Wilentz was personally chosen by Dylan to write the liner notes to the latest 8 CD edition of his bootleg series,
“Through The Open Window” — and there is a good reason why. Wilentz is perhaps THE historian who best unpacks
the man behind the legend — and the times that Dylan definitively changed.
According to Wilentz, “the story of "Through The Open Window, 1956 to 1963” is Bob Dylan becoming Bob Dylan,”
and he will be sharing that story, and the music that created the legend, in this three hour special,
Saturday at 11AM PST — only on KSQD.org. from Erik Nelson
