Walker was originally presented to the world under the aegis of the late Phil Ochs as yet another "new Bob Dylan". But in Walker's hand, Dylan's influence became a matter of studied mannerism, too crude for belief. Rather than extending the styles Dylan originated, Walker merely mimics Dylan's style, with all its many limitations.
