A moody singer/songwriter, blander than Dylan. He has never established himself as a "serious" artist in the manner of Dylan, although that's obviously his deepest wish. "Tap Root Manuscript", his first attempt to break through to the realm of Dylan and Paul Simon,is almost comic.
