Aznavour, Charles

French singer/songwriter of Armenian extraction. Highly regarded by Bob Dylan.

In the 1987 Rolling Stone interview, Dylan
names Aznavour among the greatest live performers he's ever seen.

In 1998 Dylan sang "The Times We've Known", an English version of
the Aznavour song "Les bons moments".

Charles Aznavour has appeared in at least 75 movies,
including Francois Truffaut's "Shoot the Piano Player"
(1960). Both Aznavour and the film are referred to in
"Eleven Outlines Epitaphs" (liner notes, "The Times
They Are A-Changin'") but they're not specifically
related.
