From: Anthony Fappiano Date: 29 Jan 1998 05:56:00 GMT Organization: The Homefront X-Newsreader: Microsoft Internet News 4.70.1162 Hey there, Well I manged to get the Syracuse show tonight. Sorry I don't have the setlist, but I forgot to bring a pencil etc...Let's see, a couple of things I noticed about Bob's performance. He seemed much more active on stage than any other time I've ever seen him. At one point he was actually doing a Chuck Berry-type duckwalk across the stage. Good to see that he still has so much enthusiasm. Highlights for me included Ballad of a Thin Man and, as always, Tangled up in Blue. I know some people are tired of seeing that show up in the eight spot night after night but I hope he never stops playing it. The show got off to kind of a late start begining at about 8:10 (40 minutes later than the scheduled start time). Just to bring up one point again. When are the crowds at these shows going to lighten up a bit? There was far too many old people complaining whenever someone stood up in front. INstead of down in front, we should be yelling up in back. I think Bob really responds when he sees everyone out there dancing around and making relative fools out of themselves. It's all in good fun and it really is what a good show is all about. The setlist itself was similar to all of the other shows on this tour. There may have been a few surprises but I haven't been paying attention enough to notice. Anyway, it was a great show. I encourage everyone to get out there and see Bob on this tour. He looks and sounds as good as he ever did. -A.F.
