Too bad we missed any chance of getting Princeton tickets, which would have been appreciably closer (45 minutes compared to 6 hours!). The "New Band" makes me kind of wonder -- after playing a couple of years with the "old band" is Bob going to stick-to-the-formula (Which means Heaven-Maggie-Tambourine-Etc-Etc) because he doesn't feel as comfortable improvising with the new guys, or perhaps he'll feel inspired by some new blood on the stage, and give us the long awaited live premiere of "Little Sadie" (:->!). Apologies if you've seen them before.] Subject: 1/12 Concert Date: Sat, 13 Jan 90 22:25:30 GMT I've heard rumors that Dylan played for 6 hours at his concert yesterday, repeating some songs 2 or 3 times, playing 4 sets! I was told he even covered "Dancing in the Dark". Now rumors like that must be true, right? Comments? I'll be at Penn State tommorrow, wearing a grey felt hat and a long black coat. Subject: quick notes, 1/14 Penn State show I got back from the Penn State show, and here are some quick comments. The concert took place in a gym. Seats were bleachers, and the acoustics weren't so hot. Still, the place seemed sold out, the crowd was young (mostly Penn State students, I'd guess) and the opening band was much better then Jason and the Scorchers. I saw that "sister Sarah" woman again- also, I noticed the people selling concert shirts also had a tape recorder! I was wearing a hat with a "rec.music.dylan" sign on it, but nobody approached me for a match... Highlights: Wiggle Wiggle - Bob introduced this as a "new song"!! I didn't catch all the words, but it sounded pretty good, albeit humorous. You Angel You - Bob did this "by request". In fact, he was positively talkative. No one I was with could place the first song. I eagerly await its identification from other master dylan-smiths. Dylan didn't play his harmonica much until the end, and he didn't pick up his acoustic guitar until the very end of the concert. A piano on stage went unused. He played 4 songs from Oh Mercy- Political World, Broken, What was it you wanted?, Man in the LBC. I think he added a verse to What was it... Between songs, Dylan really took his time, and the band seemed to be conferring as to what to play. In general, the concert was pretty good- the crowd rose to its feet during Like a Rolling Stone. Dylan really was milking the audience for applause toward the end... still, the crowd really didn't seem to know what they where hearing (except H61, BoaTM, LaRS, KoHD) (Test your acronym skills.) I'll let somebody with a better memory then mine post a set list. Another long show, almost 2 hours. Highlights: melodic and impassioned Forever Young, laid-back and good-natured It Takes A Lot To Etc., energetic Rainy Day Women. Before Rainy Day Women, Bob mumbled something which I didn't catch but which got people flooding into the aisles and rushing to the stage. This seemed to please him, and he grinned and mugged his way through the song. The whole band seemed to be having a good time, actually. Shouted requests for Day Of The Locusts, Wiggle Wiggle Wiggle, Tangled Up In Blue, etc., were to no avail. At least from where I was sitting, GE seemed to be mixed a little high - his comping tended to drown out Bob's occasional solos. The volume overall could have been lower for such a small place (my dad was seeing Dylan for the first time since Rolling Thunder; I asked him for his impression of the show and he said "too loud."). But it was especially good to be able to *see* what was going on stage: Bob's cues, the musicians smiling at each other and at the audience, the sweat dripping down their brows (what possesses people to wear jackets or leather vests onstage anyway? I mean, even if you must be a fashion slave, can't you do it in short sleeves?)... The intimacy definitely made up for the overpriced tickets. I heard the multi-hour Toad's show rumor again, third- or fourth-hand. Anyone heard any more details? And finally, who's got South American tour dates? When do tickets go on sale? You mean you didn't eat at 'Zimm's' (?????!!!!!) :-). (And I hope I >>>NEVER<<< have to return to State College again!). General Notes: There wasn't a great sense of improvisation here, as there was at the last show I got to (The Beacon), nor did any of the songs 'run into' each other, the way they did at that show. This was somewhat compensated for by the inclusion of all the songs we'd never heard him do live before -- My eyes were kind of bugging by the time he got to "Teardrops Fall", and I half-expected him to do "Little Sadie" after all :-). Luckily, this was one of the Maggie-less shows. Unluckily, the acoustics and physical set-up REALLY sucked. It wasn't THAT big of a place, but the sound was just horrible -- too loud, distorted, and an exceptionally echoey Bob. Physically, sitting on a small bench in the bleachers crammed in with 1000 other people wasn't the most comfortable thing to do for two hours. Judging by the lineup, though, it sounds like a more interesting selection than Princeton. >From iuvax!cica!tut.cis.ohio-state.edu!zaphod.mps.ohio-state.edu!sunybcs!uhura.cc.rochester.edu!prodigal.psych.rochester.edu!derek Tue Jan 16 18:09:45 EST 1990 Article 907 of rec.music.dylan: Path: iuvax!cica!tut.cis.ohio-state.edu!zaphod.mps.ohio-state.edu!sunybcs!uhura.cc.rochester.edu!prodigal.psych.rochester.edu!derek >From: derek@prodigal.psych.rochester.edu (Derek Gross) Newsgroups: rec.music.dylan Subject: Toad's rumors confirmed! I could make out maybe 5 to 10% of the words...and even G.E. Smith was sounding muddy. I was in the lower bleachers about 250 ft from the stage ...maybe on the floor the sound was better??? This was the third time I've seen Bob with this band, and the most disappointing. I got the feeling that we were listening to a practice session for the upcoming tour. It was nice to hear a different set of songs than usual....but most of them limped along, and seemed out of sync. The classics (Watchtower, Rolling Stone, Highway 61, Knockin, Thin Man) sounded much more polished than the rest of the set. I guess one could say this was to be expected. I really would have enjoyed some more acoustic songs. Knockin' (encore) was the only acoustic song all night....and Bob's harmonica playing was the most atrocious I've ever heard. This summer when I saw him, (Allentown - 4th row center stage!!) he played some great harmonica solo's ... Sunday night it was so bad I started to feel embarassed for him. On the plus side....I must say Bob was more animated than usual. He was rockin' out on stage a few times...and he even spoke to the crowd on several occasions (not that I always could hear him). He seemed to be enjoying himself, especially during songs like "Peggy-O" and "Been all around this world", and the 5!! he played from the new album (in other words...songs he doesn't play all that often). The show was also longer than the other recent ones I've seen. Highlights: Teardrops Fall, Been around this world, Rolling Stone, Knockin'. "Across the Borderline" was nice also...but I don't know where it's from or if that's it's real name. Lowlights: Bob's harmonica playing, the gym's acoustics, and Lenny Bruce (I can't believe he wrote that song) Although I've done a lot of complaining...I can still honestly say I'd rather see Dylan on an off-night than just about anyone else at their best. joe rowland >From iuvax!purdue!tut.cis.ohio-state.edu!cs.utexas.edu!uunet!mcsun!sunic!enea!olof Tue Jan 16 21:02:48 EST 1990 Article 910 of rec.music.dylan: Path: iuvax!purdue!tut.cis.ohio-state.edu!cs.utexas.edu!uunet!mcsun!sunic!enea!olof >From: olof@enea.se (Olof Bj|rner) Newsgroups: rec.music.dylan Subject: Toad's Place 1/12/90 Message-ID: <647@enea.se> Date: 16 Jan 90 21:05:06 GMT Reply-To: olof@enea.se (Olof Bj|rner) Organization: Enea Data AB, Sweden Lines: 50 Preliminary set lists from Toad's Place 1/12, from Ian Woodward (aka "The Wicked Messenger") over a lousy telephone line: 4 sets, 50 songs, 4 hours!! Well, I guess it doesn't hurt to have two set lists on the net, since I know that mine differs a bit from Olof's. It should be right, I got it directly from my friend Steve Reuter, who was there. He and a former Deadhead managed to be three feet from Dylan's face from 8:47 until the whole thing ended at 2:24 the next morning. He said he drank nothing. A few notes. Roy, the other of the pair, asked for AND GOT! six requests, including Joey and St. Augustine. Steve asked for Lenny Bruce, as he always does, and it was played, too. Dylan told them both at the end that he had played the requests for them. Also threw his harmonica at/to Steve, who missed it, darn the bad luck. The place was packed, but there were a few tickets available on the outside at $45 up around 1 PM and then again around seven. Everyone who really wanted to get in did get in. And of course, Sara was there. (By the way, tickets at Princeton were so scarce we overheard one offer of $290 that was refused. Easily could have gotten $150 or $200 for a ticket. There were some counterfeits for Toad's as well. And it was evidently a fantastic evening, with Dylan really into the songs, saying the band was working on the endings. They must have, they cut them off quickly, with a few new hand signals, the next two shows. The "Wiggle Wiggle" song has to be one of the high points of the evening. We learned, of course, that the Kenny/Scarlet rumor wasn't true, but Scarlet evidently had row N tickets for Princeton. Not that it matters. I found his comments interesting. The first thing he said was "We were up in the balcony, and the sound sucked." ("You stole my review of State College!", I cried), and the second thing was: "This was the best show I've ever been to in my life". An amazing statement, since Eric is a dyed-in-the-wool, 'Eric, will you SHUT UP about them!' kind of Deadhead. Anybody got decent tapes of the other two shows? Or State College, for that matter? My tape sounds less-than-ideal (E.G., just like it did at the show). Does anyone else feel miserable that they weren't able to make the Toad's show? I thought they were both great shows but the venue and my seats made the Penn State show less enjoyable for me. It was great to hear him do so many rare songs. I was psyched to hear "One More Cup of Coffee"! Those bleachers were the most uncomfortable seats I've ever sat in though. I was in so much pain by the end that I was almost glad when the show was over. Then when I got outside and found that my tape was almost half empty because it had some- how fast forwarded through most of the first side before I started it, I started to wonder if it was worth the five hundred mile drive down there. Then came Princeton. :-) !! I didn't have tickets, but after hearing from some people at the Penn show how many extra ticketts were around for the Toad's show I figured I had to give it a try. I got there sometime Monday and hung out at the box office most of the day. I was just about ready to give up when right before showtime they released four ticketts. My girlfriend and I were third in line! Sixth row center! Then came the most memorable dylan show I've seen (so far). Maybe it was because I was so close but I thought the performance was one of dylan's best (of the ones i've seen). Dylan was in complete controle all night. "Forever Young" was perfect! "Most of The Time", "Simple Twist of Fate", and "It Takes a Lot to Laugh..." were all GREAT! If all that wasn't enough to leave me smiling for a week then standing at the stage directly infront of Bob for the last six songs was. He was smiling and making eye contact with everyone in the front and obviously having himself a great time. During Like a Rolling Stone he literally burst out laughing. He turned away from the mike and tried to stop, but when he stepped back and tried to sing again he just started to laugh again. Seeing Dylan having that much fun on stage made the whole trip more than worthwile. Did anybody get a tape of that show??? When's the summer tour start??? Some 90,000 Brazilians turned out Thursday for the opening night of "Hollywood Rock," which moves next week to Rio de Janeiro. Mr. Dylan, who wore a black leather jacket despite the near-100-degree summer heat, drew his loudest applause with his 1960's folk hits. Though the 48-year-old Mr. Dylan was billed as the star of opening night, most of the teen-age fans who gathered to see the groups arrive said they were waiting for a glimpse of Bon Jovi. Dylan in a very good mood dressed in white jacket, black trousers. A fantastic show!! The band was tighter than ever, sounding much more like 88 than 89, all these long dwindling endings were gone. G.E. Smith looked a little bored and was standing back in the shadows most of the the time, it was Dylan in complete control all the way. And he was playing guitar more than I've heard before and his singing was superb! The real surprise to me was that he was rocking around, shaking his left leg, shaking his hips, and each time the audience went nuts!! Pretty funny, after some 30 years in the business, he gets the wildest audience responce when shaking his hips!! Highlights were Pretty Peggy-O and the two "new" Oh Mercy songs Political World and What Was It You Wanted. Highway 61 worked fine as last song. Tight Connection was a little stiff, not as good as the Princeton version. There was a piano on stage and they put a set list on it before the show and people kept yelling "Play the piano Bob", bit no such luck. He didn't even thought of playing it. Again, a knockout show, great songs, a tight band, and Dylan singing and rocking like never before in front of an ecstatic audience!!!! ================================================================================ | ___ __ | Olof Bjorner, olof@enea.se | | / ) / __ / | Tfn: +46 76461318 | | / / / /:-) /_ | Murkelvagen 12, S-184 34 AKERBERGA, SWEDEN | | (___/ (__ (__/ / | Enea Data AB, Box 232, S-183 23 TABY, | | / | SWEDEN, Tfn: +46 87922500 | ================================================================================ >From iuvax!cica!tut.cis.ohio-state.edu!rutgers!mit-eddie!bloom-beacon!eru!luth!sunic!mcsun!ukc!strath-cs!cs.glasgow.ac.uk!bru-cc!lbsrffp Sun Feb 11 19:17:15 EST 1990 Article 997 of rec.music.dylan: Path: iuvax!cica!tut.cis.ohio-state.edu!rutgers!mit-eddie!bloom-beacon!eru!luth!sunic!mcsun!ukc!strath-cs!cs.glasgow.ac.uk!bru-cc!lbsrffp >From: lbsrffp@cc.brunel.ac.uk (Frank Parry) Newsgroups: rec.music.dylan Subject: Hammersmith Odeon Message-ID: <1314@Terra.cc.brunel.ac.uk> Date: 5 Feb 90 10:39:00 GMT Organization: Brunel University, Uxbridge, UK Lines: 47 Extract from the Guardian Monday 5 February 1990 When he (Dylan) came on, it seemed he really was trying to put the clock back 24 years. Lit from behind, he looked the perfect image of the skinny, one-time folky who had upset his early fans by moving to the amplified rock field. The mid-sixties cockatoo haircut was intact and he still wore tight black pants and biker boots. When he started playing, there was a lively, noisy wash of sound which developed into the 66 song from Blonde on Blonde, Stuck Inside of a Mobile with the Memphis Blues Again. His vocals were decidedly dodgy, but his excellent backing trio were forcing the pace of his electric guitar work. So far, not bad, and the songs that followed made it seem that this could yet prove to be a wonderfully eclectic set. His voice began to improve as he launched into a wailing folk-rock version of Pretty Peggie O, the traditional tune he used to play after he'd arrived in New York in '61. Then he jumped 24 years with Tight Connection To My Heart from his mediocre album from the mid-eighties Empire Burlesque, before returning to safe ground with an urgent, hip-swivelling version of Political World, the opening track on Oh Mercy, the album that marked his return to form last summer. Oh Mercy was special both because of the performance and material, mixing gloriously cynical up-tempo rockers with thoughtful brooding ballads and memorable pained love songs. But the latter side of his work was sadly ignored at Hammersmith - he even left out Most of the Time, though there was a brief inclusion of the harmonica-backed lament You're A Big Girl Now. Instead, he spent the remainder of the set reviving Sixties favourites, interspersed with a few of the new songs. He started and ended with an electric blitz that included everything from a rapid-fire All Along The Watchtower, with words almost garbled to hit the new rhythm pattern, to a rousing guitar workout on It Takes A Train To Laugh, and an almost playful drawling on Like A Rolling Stone and Highwau Revisited. In the middle of all this came a section where he could have been more experimental. He switched to acoustic guitar and harmonica for a mid-Sixties selection that ranged from the pretty, with Love Minus Zero, to protest, with the still powerful story of injustice, The Lonesome Death of Hattie Carroll....the band came back for the final romp, thankfully fitting the brooding new Man In A Long Black Coat into the selection from Highway '61 Revisited..... For the record, Bob Dylan is playing 6 nights at the Hammersmith Odeon, London. Your correspondent will be there on the 7th February. The gig had a bit of a nostalgia feel to it. He looked very much like he used to in '66 (except older !). He did a lot of old songs from 'blonde on blonde' and earlier. This was his 6th night in a row, with one more (I think) tonight. All the gigs were sold out and the audience were very enthusiastic -- standing ovation as soon as he blew one note on the harmonica etc. Dylan seemed to be having a good time too. He played with 3 other musicians -- guitar, bass and drums, with dylan doing a lot of good guitar playing himself. I was surprised how good his guitar playing was. He played harmonica on most songs as well. The band were quite rocky and fast. I've no idea who they were. He started with the band, doing an electric set, then did some acoustic stuff, mainly with the other guitarist, which worked really well, and then did more electric stuff at the end. Due to (probably terminal) brain damage, I can only remember a few of the songs he played, which are these, not in the order he played them: Electric set: highway 61 I want you pledging my time political world disease of conceit (the only song he played piano on) like a rolling stone every grain of sand rainy day women positively 4th st you angel you it ain't me babe man in the long black coat Acoustic: ramona boots of spanish leather He must have played at least 3 or 4 more acoustic numbers and several more electric as well, but for the life of me I can't think what they were -- he played for about an hour and a half. Anyway, it was a pretty good gig, although I would have preferred more stuff from 'oh mercy' -- I still think it's a good album. hope somebody finds some of this interesting !?! The real highlight this evening was One More Cup Of Coffee sung and played absolutely fantastic! Smith playing his guitar in "Mexican" style (one of the few songs he was distintly heard) and Dylan singing out the lyrics like never before. Both Saturday and Sunday were sold out, and they were even selling standing tickets to the aisles the same day, so the Hammersmith Odeon absolutely packed with an enthusiastic audience. I guess they all felt it, this was the shortest of the London shows. After the first song Dylan said "This song was Subterranean Homesick Blues in a different arrangement". My guess is that they had argued about the opener and that Smith wanted Subterrenean. After It Ain't Me Babe on the first show on Saturday Dylan said "We changed some chords in this song and in case no one recognized it, it's called It Ain't Me Babe", a pretty strange remark, ================================================================================ | ___ __ | Olof Bjorner, olof@enea.se | | / ) / __ / | Tfn: +46 76461318 | | / / / /:-) /_ | Murkelvagen 12, S-184 34 AKERBERGA, SWEDEN | | (___/ (__ (__/ / | Enea Data AB, Box 232, S-183 23 TABY, | | / | SWEDEN, Tfn: +46 87922500 | ================================================================================ >From iuvax!cica!tut.cis.ohio-state.edu!ucbvax!bloom-beacon!eru!luth!sunic!enea!olof Sun Feb 11 19:32:45 EST 1990 Article 1031 of rec.music.dylan: Path: iuvax!cica!tut.cis.ohio-state.edu!ucbvax!bloom-beacon!eru!luth!sunic!enea!olof >From: olof@enea.se (Olof Bj|rner) Newsgroups: rec.music.dylan Subject: London 2/6/90 Message-ID: <759@enea.se> Date: 10 Feb 90 22:12:07 GMT Reply-To: olof@enea.se (Olof Bj|rner) Organization: Enea Data AB, Sweden Lines: 43 UUCP-Path: mcvax!kth!sunic!enea!olof Set list from Tuesday 2/6: 1. This show started in much the same way as last night, but after Memphis Blues something happened and the rest of the show was incredible. If the show had started like that it would easily have been the best. Smith woke up and started hopping around and really participating in the show. It's hard to name any other highlights than songs 6 to 20, Song To Woody maybe, done very beautifully with bluesy cross key harmonica. This was actually performed as a response to a request from the audience! ================================================================================ | ___ __ | Olof Bjorner, olof@enea.se | | / ) / __ / | Tfn: +46 76461318 | | / / / /:-) /_ | Murkelvagen 12, S-184 34 AKERBERGA, SWEDEN | | (___/ (__ (__/ / | Enea Data AB, Box 232, S-183 23 TABY, | | / | SWEDEN, Tfn: +46 87922500 | ================================================================================ >From iuvax!cica!tut.cis.ohio-state.edu!ucbvax!bloom-beacon!eru!luth!sunic!enea!olof Sun Feb 11 19:33:08 EST 1990 Article 1032 of rec.music.dylan: Path: iuvax!cica!tut.cis.ohio-state.edu!ucbvax!bloom-beacon!eru!luth!sunic!enea!olof >From: olof@enea.se (Olof Bj|rner) Newsgroups: rec.music.dylan Subject: London 2/7/90 Message-ID: <762@enea.se> Date: 10 Feb 90 22:34:15 GMT Reply-To: olof@enea.se (Olof Bj|rner) Organization: Enea Data AB, Sweden Lines: 38 UUCP-Path: mcvax!kth!sunic!enea!olof Set list from Wednesday 2/7: 1. It Ain't Me Babe (acoustic) 22. I've Been All Around This World 23. Highway 61 Revisited 110 minutes and an unbelievable 13 new songs out of 23!! Dylan in a black vest with a white shirt. Right from the start one could feel that this night was going to be something special. And it was! Not only a number of new songs and some of them rarely heard, but all performed with a wonderful combination of playfulness and commitment. The whole band seemed to have the time of their lives!! And we finally got to hear Bob on piano, which he played hopping up and down, hammering on it as if to smash it to pieces. After this performance the band started You're a Big Girl Now and played something like the 1st verse instrumentally, when Dylan stopped it and they switched to I'll Remember You. Highlight from this wonderful evening must be Like A Rolling Stone!! With the band playing and swinging as if it was the last thing they did in their lives, with Smith grinning from ear to ear, and running, hopping all over the stage, Dylan doing his Elvis act (Presley-Costello combined) and the audience standing and shouting their lungs out it was unbelievable. What a grand finale! I think we all left Hammersmith and walked out in the cool London night a little dazed, knowing that we had just taken part in an amazing and unique show with Bob Dylan. All in all 123 performances in six shows. An astounding 68 different songs! Six outstanding shows, where even the least inspired set (Monday) was of high standard. Every show was sold out with people standing in the aisles. Prices of scalper tickets rising every night, you had to pay at least $200 to get a front stall the last night. Dylan looked very fit and happy (with the possible exception of Monday when he seemed a little tired) and thanked the audienced after virtually every song. After Rolling Stone and after the last encore he stayed behind and thanked the audience with several deep bows a la 1966. I heard a rumor that the next concert is planned to take place in New York in about two months in an outdoor venue taking some 60000 people. Another rumor talks of ten more shows in London this summer! The never-ending tour! ================================================================================ | ___ __ | Olof Bjorner, olof@enea.se | | / ) / __ / | Tfn: +46 76461318 | | / / / /:-) /_ | Murkelvagen 12, S-184 34 AKERBERGA, SWEDEN | | (___/ (__ (__/ / | Enea Data AB, Box 232, S-183 23 TABY, | | / | SWEDEN, Tfn: +46 87922500 | ================================================================================ >From iuvax!cica!tut.cis.ohio-state.edu!snorkelwacker!mit-eddie!bu.edu!dartvax!eleazar.dartmouth.edu Tue Feb 20 23:20:59 EST 1990 Article 1099 of rec.music.dylan: Path: iuvax!cica!tut.cis.ohio-state.edu!snorkelwacker!mit-eddie!bu.edu!dartvax!eleazar.dartmouth.edu >From: buck@eleazar.dartmouth.edu (Rebecca A. THE NEVER-ENDING TOUR CONTINUES 3.1 Introduction ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The never-ending tour continued 1990 with a strange series of date in three continents. First three warm-up gigs in US (a technique Dylan has used before on two occasions), the his first ever shows in South America, one in San Paolo and one in Rio de Janeiro, then four in Paris and finally six in London. The Dylan staff T-shirts in London had "1990 World Tour" on them, but it's also been nicknamed the "Fastbreak Tour" 3.2 The Musicians ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ G.E. Smith (g, backup vocal) Tony Garnier (b) Christopher Parker (dr). 3.3 The Show ~~~~~~~~~~~~ The shows outside of US had basically the same format as 1988-1989. The other shows were really a kind of public rehearsals. The show at Toad's featured 50 songs in four sets, all electric. The next, at the Penn State College, also lacked acoustic songs, even though the encore, Knockin' On Heaven's Door started acoustic. The last of the US shows, at Princeton University, featured five acoustic songs, but they were delivered right after the opening number. 3.4 Summary ~~~~~~~~~~~ Note that each set at Toad's is treated as a separate show below, since the same song was played in more than one set. Number of shows: 18 Number of circulating shows: 17 94% Number of complete shows: 17 94% Number of unique shows: 17 94% [1] Number of different shows: 17 94% [2] Number of different songs: 99 (!!) Duluth Well, good news for someone, but not us East-coasters. And then on to Europe, dates there I do not know. The band? Who knows? I certainly don't, but I am quite out of date with what the rumor mill might be producing these days. Let's just hope he makes it back East later on in the summer before he runs out of steam. I've heard 4 or 5 and in each >he does only two, omitting the 3rd ("It was all very painless..."). As a matter of fact in most concerts Dylan sings a "new" verse consisting of the first four lines from verse 2 and lines 5-8 from verse 3: We pointed out the way to go And scratched your name in sand Though you just thought it was nothing more Than a place for you to stand And now the heart is filled with gold <--- this line is sometimes As if it was a purse improvised But oh what kind of love is this Which goes from bad to worse? There are all those notes of people having tickets to a concert in George, Washington. Is this on for certain? And now the "new" stuff and the rumors: August 24 Pueblo, Colorado (State Fair) August 26 Des Moines, Iowa (State Fair) sometime around Aug. 31 --- Telluride, Colorado ?Sept. 1 Seattle Excuse me, but up there it says June 17 twice --- one should be the 18th, second Winnepeg concert. There is also a rumor of a Minneapolis show following Winnepeg. Certainly find this an interesting schedule this year. There is a little talk that the Wilburys have done a lot of recording. Anybody heard anything about 'Nobody's Child'? It hasn't appeared. Rebecca -- Liz Bradley, Corporate Microsystems, Inc. liz@avalon.dartmouth.EDU (ARPA) Box 277, Etna, NH, 03750 (USPS)
