Meeting Places

Past gathering places include cafes, pubs, diners, restaurants, beaches, parks, and fans' homes. Most any place will do... just as long as it's fairly easy to find (or if it's not, somebody can provide good directions). A leisurly lunch before a show is recommended, especially for shows on weekends. Afterwards, drinks and snacks (dancing during the shows can certainly work up an appetite!) can be complemented with discussions of the concert, analyses of songs, comments on Bob's recent fashion statement, and a wide variety of other conversation topics. Pre-arranged tape trades are nice, as well.

Dylan fans seem to be quite dedicated, and often travel hundreds or thousands of miles to see Bob Dylan perform. If you are familiar with the area surrounding any of the venues, it would be very helpful to other rec.music.dylan'ers who are coming from out-of-town if you could suggest a gathering spot. Addresses, telephone numbers, and directions to/from the venue are certainly an added plus! If nobody acts, nothing will be arranged! :-)
