Expecting Rain

Friend of mine called me (at 17.15 MESZ). He was about to order the BS9/Monos via Amazon.de and all of a sudden the possibility of ordering the Bonus CD was gone.
I checket it and, yes, this very feature has disappered.

If you type in "Dylan Brandeis" you'll find an entry along with BS9 and the Monos that reads: "Please log in to get an e-mail information when this item will be available".

And besides: When I ordered the BS9/Monos this morning, amazon.de charged a price of 3.95 Euros for the Bonus CD, which was refunded later in the process (just like slewan wrote elsewhere), but it was refunded only once.

In the afternoon the charged price for Brandeis has risen to 19.95 (and was refunded only once, too), this was why the friend of mine cancelled the order to place two different ones, and then it didn't work anymore.

How do you call that?

either a great commercial success (selling more than 1000 copies of each of the three release formats in just one day) OR plain stupid

It says that the offer is limited to 1000 copies in total. And I guess most people ordered it with The Best of the Original Mono Recordings for € 7,99 to make some extra buck at eBay...

Strange, the offer was definitively gone this morning...

Update (Friday morning, CET):

1. After my message to them, amazon.de added to my September order a Brandeis CD!

2. Amazon.de removed completely their special offer for the Brandeis CD.

And is again right now.

I suppose, the offer will be available only if someone of the first 1000s cancels her or his order.

right now it'‚ available again but I guess in a few hours it will be gone just to return later this evening etc etc…
I don't know what's going on at amazon's

I'm in US - but I got three bdylan twitters last night with links to reviews on how great the Bootleg 9 is. Maybe this push has gotten people ordering like crazy Bob Dylan fans! Hope it works out that everyone who wants it gets "free" Brandeis cd.
