You don't need to get a ticket to park at hop farm do you? I suppose you just pay at the gate?

I will be camping. I need to find my tent.

I assume that the camping ticket includes parking. I hope we can park the car and pitch the tent next to it! We need to practise putting our tent up in the garden this weekend or whenever the weather's dry. I still don't know whether it's been eaten by mice in the attic...

Parking is free at the site but allow an hour and then some to get in and out.....there's said to be buses from the rail station - might be worth parking down the line a bit and using conections laid on. Dunno about trains late at night though. Tucked away on the hopfarm site is a downloadable pdf for festival visitors - 'bring gel handcleaner' and so on...('my hands are clean but....')

Got my tickets this morning! :D

my plan is to stay infront of the main stage all day to ensure that i'm the front rows for Dylan, don't hesitate to day hello if you see a curly haired boy mulling around the crowd in anticipation of Dylan.

Sadly there's a risk of arrest upon persisting in saying Hello to every curly haired boy... I'll settle for a grin and at least three guitar tracks from the man.

I think they're known as 'cougars', aren't they? If I have my bodyguard of 6-formers and daughter with me I might say hello. They'll keep an eye on me.

This is a Dylan gig. What's happened to all the other middle-aged people? Help. Don't they have a taste for adventures in the mud anymore?

So who else are people excited to see?

Never heard of them before now but I'm really looking forward to the Jim Jones Revue!

Haha watch out kid...I've just ordered a couple of packs of henna. Maybe we should all dye our hair and present Bob with a ginger front row? Ugh.

Yeah, because nobody else will be wearing bob shirts!

It's cool, from experience you just kind of instinctively know sometimes...that's what happened at the roundhouse, it was slightly bizarre. Fun times though! I'll be hanging out with onemorecup, so if you see either of us you'll see the other. Plus I'll be there with 3 guys and another girl. So you're bound to see me. Feel free to say hi! I'd love that. I wear black glasses, if that's any more help... See you there Angus and Conal!

Can't wait for this festival. I've really been enjoying Van Morrison and Dr. John lately, but the second day is even better with two of my all time favourites headlining the saturday!

OK, I've decided. On a very small greek island I when I was young and fancy free, I saw an old guy in black suit with a red flower behind his ear. I asked what it was about. A local friend said it advertised his happy mood. He was up for anything. So heck. If it's good, then I'll have a red flower behind me ear.

Sounds good to me! I'll have to get one of those little car vases like in a VW Beetle.

Hey friends, don't know if you're planning to be as close to the stage as possible, but I definitely want to, and I was wondering what time should I be there for that. I'm thinking about leaving from London early in the morning, let's say around 8am..
What do you think?

My plan is to arrive on the friday night, camp out on friday and then get in the queue nice and early on saturday and stick like glue to as close to the stage as I can. Gates to the arena open at 11am but Im gonna be up early to make sure Im at the front. It may turn out there isnt a need to stand around at the arena all day but Im not taking chances.

That's my plan, even if your not at the front at the start, so many people will be coming and going to see the other stage and get food and drink that hopefully you could move forward as the day goes on.

Indeed, I'm planning to start queuing very early by the gates. Once you're on the rail you're pretty much sorted and people won't really get past you. I've got my men handy to keep my spot. And onemorecup's. And anyone else who I happen to befriend there, it's always nice knowing your place is still there if you have to pop out and pee.
