So those 30 year old live video clips that have been on youtube for 3 years and are totally non commercially viable have been removed so that search results can be 're-alligned' (orwellian nuspeak for faked) and charity donations can be maximised. Please - we're not going to buy your b$ so spare us the effort of reading it and GFO.

Well put.

It is very important that the Christmas album is not streamed for free or pirated. Think of it this way, every time someone streams or pirates the Christmas album, someone goes hungry.

I got the mp3s before it came out, I am buying it today.

People really seem to be acting crazy in this thread. Web Sheriff is a legitimate company that has been hired to prevent too much pirating of the Christmas in the Heart album, because the proceeds go to a worthy charity.

More pirating equals less food for the hungry, and there's nothing wrong with Web Sheriff explaining what's been going on. Some people seem to be typing loco and paranoid thoughts, so let's relax, and legally appreciate a great album, and that album's commendable charitable effort.

Peace!

Folks, this is not directed at any person in particular. I am going to ask that all refrain from posting emotionally here. If anyone wishes to make a comment or ask a question, please do so in a way that will keep the lines of communication open for all, thanks.

I understand your fear, but being nice isn't gonna help this situation, nor hurt it.

the explanation that web porker is here because ER is so cool and deserves clarification of what is happening or not happening smacks of bullshit.

No fear on my part jman :D Childish name calling never helps any situation and is an embarrassment. Everyone needs to get a grip on the paranoia.

WEB SHERIFF, I've removed links and phone numbers from your posts. I'm going to ask that you not post them in any subsequent comments. You're welcome to add them to your profile, thanks.

As some of you may have noticed already, the 're-alingment' is effectively completed (see page 1 of a standard YT search), so that, should someone wish to browse for BD videos for the first time ever (the example of a 16 year old was given), they'll immediately see that there's an official channel (something that was originally not that evident, insofar as you had to go to page 6 of a standard search to even find a clip from the artist's own channel) ... .. as such, tales of the mass demise of videos are greatly exaggerated.
When I try to access the videos on Dylan's official channel I get a
"This video is not available in your country due to copyright restrictions" message.
And now I can get that without having to go to page 6?
No comments needed...

I think we should begin a silent revolution posting thousands of mute videos in youtube with the name of Dylan and some of his songs in the tittle. In the video, only a still frame: "Sorry, this song is not longer available in youtube due to copyright restrictions"

Hey Smiley, Long Johnny & feet of a harlot (& Everyone),

Did we catch our name blowing in the wind ?? ... .. just dropping-by to clarify a couple of points and, hopefully, to allay some of your fears ... .. first-of-all, the primary objective here is simply to protect the “Christmas In The Heart” charity album from excessive ripping and file-sharing etc and, in so doing, maximize the funds raised for Feeding America, Crisis and the World Food Programme – something that, again hopefully, most people will be more-than-happy to help with ... .. in which regard and as many of you will know, “Must Be Santa” has been designated as the official preview track for fans and bloggers to share / post / host etc and you are actively invited to help spread-the-word and raise awareness of the fund raising aspect of this release across the net / around the globe (again by using the preview track as well as the ‘donate’ widget available from bobdylan.com).

Secondly and as some of you have commented on YouTube clip removals, tetc.etc.etc.etc

Best (to All),

WEB SHERIFF :)

Ladies and Gentlemen!!!!!!

DO NOT FEED THE TROLL!!!

I REPEAT.... DO NOT FEED THE TROLL!!!!!
