I've heard back from Mr. Hornsby, who confirmed that he had indeed sent the email read on the "Friends & Neighbors" episode.

He's currently traveling on vacation, but I hope to interview him on his return. That may not get published on Dreamtime, though. I'm working on a TTRH book - about 50 percent complete at this point - and the interview may end up there, instead. I have to have some new content.

It's kind of given me pause after thinking all these years that all the emails were scripted fakes, even though in hindsight, I already had some evidence to the contrary. Occam's Razor, as I said in my article. Now I'm going back through other emails read on the show to see if I can identify any other "real" people. I wonder if the "Jackie Vann" who wrote in on Sheryl Crow and set off Mr. D.'s "commercial affiliation" rant is real too?

Interviewed Mr. Hornsby today, who was a very pleasant Southern gentleman. Great story.

Now I'm trying to figure out if I can track down anyone else.
