Can anyone translate the conversation he has in Spanish (the loving tongue)?

It cracked me up hearing him speak spanish, i did chuckle is that ok?

I don't speak spanish very well, but I will try.

Antonio: Hello, Bob! I'm Antonio Hernandes and I'm speaking from Guadalajara, Mexico!
Bob: Ok Antonio what can I do for you?
Antonio: I'm going to United States and I want to know how many pesos is one dollar?
Bob: Well Antonio usually 10 pesos to 1 dollar.
Antonio: So It's like 500 pesos to 50 dollars... No?
Bob: Yes yes of course!
Antonio: Very well.
Bob: (here I think it's a nonsence!... "Ola! que todo está bien") Hello, everything is all right.
Antonio: Thanks a lot".
Bob: Thanks for your calling!
Antonio: Bob! Can you do me a favor? Can you play ... how can I say... "Amigo Hombre"?
Bob: Amigo Hombre????? You mean Buddy Guy?
Antonio: Yes yes! Buddy Guy!
Bob: Ok Antonio It's here! Buddy Guy, Amigo Hombre...

Don't you just love it when Bob does foreign languages? I especially like his efforts at pronouncing German...and English, come to think of it. I liked the way he said 'mortgages'.

my spanish speaking gentleman friend said it sounded more like
'how could I forget you' rather than 'what can I do for you'
it's one word we're talking about
but we are still debating....& I'm not sure of the spelling,
trying to get the pronunciation down myself right now.

Fwiw, a Dreamtime reader thinks Bob is saying "Ojalá que todo está bien", which translates to something like "Hopefully everything is all right," or "I hope everything is fine," which still seems like a non sequitur, but at least he isn't saying "Hello" midway through the conversation.

And not to be (too) pedantic, but Mr. D.'s currency conversion is way off. 10 Mexican pesos is closer to 78 cents in USD, and 500 pesos worth about $39.00.

Of course, I'm still trying to get my ahead around "Ronald Reagan, friend of the black man."

Fred, I've listened to the show a couple of times and every time I hear that Ronnie reference, I say to myself, "I need to go back over & listen to that part again". Something is fishy or Bob-funny more like it.

He says, "Como te puedo ayudar?" (How can I help you?), but his pronunciation of "ayudar" is mangled, so you have to listen very carefully to get it.--Gerry

I think you are right! I didn't know that the people from Mexico uses to say "Ojalá!". I tought that only people from Portugal uses to say this expression.

Ojalá is not from Portugal (they say oxalà). It's spanish tonge.

They are both forms of 'insha'Allah' (God willing), which is Arabic.
