In a short while, we will start the process of upgrading the forums to version 3.0.1. When that happens I will lock the forums so that nobody can make new posts until the forums open again in the new version. I hope your patience will be rewarded!

The forums have now been upgraded to version 3.0.1!
You will see many differences from the old version. We have tried to adjust the color settings as closely as possible to the old ones, but some details remain.

Please take some time to read the FAQ and see which new features you would like to use.
Please report errors and other comments as replies in this thread!

For me the main hope is that the server will not be as slow as it has been for the last few weeks. If the slowness remains after a test period, I will probably ask Hostgator to insert another GB of memory in the server, making a total of 3 GB RAM.

Karl Erik
Thanks to my daughter (the brains behind Pa), who did the work while here on her vacation!

I like it! It seems like it should be easy enough to get used to. And I like the new smilies.

Hmmmm! Intriguing design...but I must say that I am baffled at the new shape of some of these EMOTICONS. Who's decision was this? Fools! It will never catch on...you will lose many valued customers for such shapes...including TWOOD...next time let me handle the shape choosing!

LOOK AT THIS:    !

AND WHAT THE FLIP IS THIS:

I just do not understand...they are shaped like a pear...an upside down pear...that is the worst kind of pear! BLERRGGHH!

a comment.

one thing that seems to be happening is :

the time for the Last visit at the top of the page has not changed from Sun Jul 06, 2008 9:38 am.
( For me on my computer at least)

the current time changes

Looks fine to me, very crisp. The only thing that stands out to me are the moderator names. Their green color is too florescent compared to the muted tones of everything else. Also "[Bot]"s appear in the "Who is online" area at the bottom.

And.. Please drop the "Birthday's Today" section at the bottom.

Congratulations to your daughter for her hard work and its results, Karl-Erik, and to you for your generosity in putting all of this at the disposal of the board members and visitors.

(I'm guessing - does the green smiley mean, "I'm jealous but trying to hide it"?)
