Looks like that great jazz version of It Takes a Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry from 2004 is going to be official released on this album called "United We Swing"

I can't wait to hear a high quality recording of this!

Am I confused or this a 15 year-old recording of a very tentative performance?

It's been out for a while, complete with video footage...pretty much hours after the performance it was up on youtube.

It's a Bob original, so it's better than most of the so called Sinatra-stuff.
But to tell the truth: If it is the same version, which we have as a bootleg, it doesn't give the song a new dimension.
But it swings quite well. So it would be nice (but not more), to get a better qualitiy recording.

Btw: Don't think twice was played that night too. And concerning this song I must say: I don't like it too much (but might be I'm ignorant!?).
On the other hand: I didn't delete it from my hd, and it's at least quite interesting to listen to Bob singing in a jazz-band.

This version was included on the collection "Down The River: Outtakes & Special Appearances, 1999 - 2012" if you have that one.

The Intro, Don't Think Twice and Takes A Train To Cry, The two tracks are from a crystal cat release.

Thanks! Bob doesn’t really care for this version of Don’t think Twice but man that Train is pretty rocking.

I don’t think I ever heard these. It’ll be nice to hear it professionally recorded.

Ugh, going to need to publish another re-edited release. A good problem to have, I guess...
