Ordered through Bobdylan.com/Sandbag.
Got confirmation email that it had been shipped on Friday 3rd.
The tracking number they've given me isn't recognised by DHL from the link they gave.
I've emailed DHL direct and they don't recognise it as one of theirs.
Have emailed Sandbag twice with no reply.
Am getting really distressed now. I spent a heck of a lot of money.
I just don't know what to do.

Mine was shipped via DPD. You might try there.

(Crossposted from the Steve Hoffman Forums)

I'm in the same boat as other pre-order folks who have their package... somewhere... between me and Houston, TX after frustrating obfuscation from Sandbag initially. Got the shipping refund, and generally try not to get bent out of shape about "first world problems".

That said, maybe I'm just in a cranky mood this morning, but I felt compelled to send a complaint to Sony (via the bobdylan.com submit feedback link) expressing my concerns. I get that they can't really do anything, although I suggested offering a download of the release to customers would go a long way to easing concerns. That, I suppose, would be the label's call to do something like that, not Sandbag. Not much else to do but wait for the package and hope for the best. As I said, first world problem ultimately, so trying to keep it in perspective. If nothing else, hopefully this puts 'em on watch for the next release.

And still, when all is said and done, I can't wait to crack the release open and give it a spin.

My "Trouble No More" deluxe set arrived today from Sandbag, about a week after I was notified that it shipped. We've all be so spoiled by 1- or 2-day shipping that a week in transit now seems like an eternity.

Frankly, I would prefer to receive the discs in standard size jewel CD cases that I can put on my CD shelf with the rest of my CD collection. I don't care for receiving my CDs tucked into sleeves inside some gimmicky cardboard book. To me, the book format is just an excuse to overcharge me for the discs. Bob, please stop doing this. I don't want my CDs stored in a book that is 8-1/2 inches tall. I have no practical place to put this.

One additional point: Over time, slipping the CDs in and out of these stupid cardboard pockets is going to scratch the hell out of the CD surfaces.

I find the book format so much more attractive than the jewel cases that always inevitably break. It's a really nice set that feels way more substantial than the old jewel case releases. I don't find it gimmicky at all. So, on my part, please don't stop this, Bob!

This is a very very good point. They way the CDs are stored is a recipe for disaster. Be very delicate when removing CDs. Perhaps Bob Inc could look at different methods of storing the CDs for the next release.

Take them out and store them into jewel cases. The box itself you can use for decorating your shelf.

Still waiting here, in Australia. I did complain and they refunded me the shipping cost. Also said "we feel very let down by the carrier service." So it's worth a complain.

Overnight my time my package moved from MelrosePark, IL to, errrr, Des Plains, IL so I guess that is some kind of progress ...

Same here RedShift, and I live in New Zealand. At least there's movement with our tracking, albeit painfully slow, and a bit annoying that our items haven't left the US yet.

Cheers

Ricky.

But that's the beauty of jewel cases - it doesn't matter if they break - because all the components are standard, and interchangeable. I have good stock of spares for that purpose. But if a 'custom' sleeve/package is damaged, that's it, game over. I particularly hate so-called 'digipaks' and minature card LP type sleeves for the same reason - they rip, get creased, stained, etc., and there is no way to repair or replace them (short of buying the CD again, assuming it's still available). Jewel cases FTW, every time.

How are you guys getting any response from Sandbag, much less refunds on shipping? They've ignored me so far. Am I writing the right place?

I just used the webform at the "Need to get in touch with us ? Please go here" line at the bottom of shipping notification.

I pre-ordered months in advance of the release date.

The tracking number states "Departed Shipping Partner Facility, USPS Awaiting Item"

I can go on Amazon and have it delivered tomorrow, without the San Diego concert, for $50 less. Free one-day shipping.

Have others cancelled and re-ordered on Amazon? Can I get a refund?

Mine is still in Melrose Park, Illinois.
Maybe I'll get it at the end of next week.

I'm not eagerly awaiting this, so I don't mind it's taking some time.
But if it had been a new album or any other Bootleg Series, I'd be furious.

Plastic sleeves. Cheap on Amazon. Just ordered some myself.

Yes thanks. Nothing.
I don't understand what's happening.
Sandbag won't reply to my emails or tweets.

I told Sandbag I was cancelling my order, since 5 days after saying it was 'En Route, DHL has still not received the package.
Sandbag told me that it had been despatched, so I was not entitled to a refund. I sent them a long email telling them I didn't care that their computer said it was despatched, that it was actually lost, since it had been between them and the courier for nearly a week. I told them I would be contacting my credit card company for a refund and to cancel the order.

Sandbag then came back to me saying that if I wanted a refund I had to return to the goods to them in original condition (chance would be a fine thing). I ignored this email, and then got another from someone else at Sandbag the next day with an apology, saying that if I wanted a refund I could just refuse the delivery when it arrived, and then it would bounce back to Sandbag and I would get a full refund as it would consider the order cancelled. They already refunded my shipping costs.

So I would do this if I were you. Email them and tell them you're cancelling because of poor service, then tell them you'll refuse the delivery when it eventually arrives. Then order yourself one from a reliable source.

The whole thing might be a first-world problem (I don't disagree) but it's also a complete and unacceptable shambles.

Visit this link to submit a complaint: http://support.sandbaguk.com/support/tickets/new

My entry:

‘Hey guys I understand this is out of your control at this point but PLEASE do not use DHL again. Everybody knows they are the worst.

Still waiting for my Dylan order to arrive, let alone have the tracking number work.

Pretty bummed that music fans that decided to pre order are getting hosed like this. The release is sitting on the shelf of my local record store. I probably should go that route next time.

A shame that this is how loyal Dylan fans and honest music collectors get treated, especially in an age where it is so easy to find a free link online to download any music you want.

Sorry for the rant. Please refund my shipping costs.
Thank you,’

Mine arrived by DHL next working day after despatch.
Can't fault DHL for intervening weekend!

A week ago my order was dispatched from Austin, Texas. Yesterday I was informed that it safely arrived... in Illinois.

Several thousand miles and an ocean to cross and it will arrive safely in Spain, God willing.

Why is your shipment in the US for delivery in Europe? Did you order from the US store by mistake or did you order from the UK store and your order is being filled from the US?
