Bob was putting on a great show. Parking was a rip off though: $30.00 bucks. Mavis band was a bit loud. I didn't warm up until her last song Take me there. She did take us all to Bob and I sure am glad I saw the old man one more time. I ALMOST fell in love again, but thank God it was only ALMOST. Got a t-shirt for 10 bucks. It's a good thing I only go out once a year or so. :)

My friend bought our tickets. He somehow got $20 parking online. Those shirts were mighty nice.

Bob was great. Usually, it takes a bit for him to warm up but he was clear from the start.

I noticed this too. I saw two of the Capital Theatre shows and the start of this one was far stronger. It might have been a better show overall to be honest. I'd avoided looking at setlists this fall and the 1-2 punch of Honest into Tryin' was thrilling. It Ain't Me Babe also a highlight.

I even liked the new arrangement of Early Roman Kings where Tony gets a little bass run between verses (the rest of ERK remains boring). And I can't remember the last time I've seen an honest-to-god George drum solo. Can't remember what song - Thunder? - but it was great to see him let loose for a bit, and earned a cheer from the crowd.

The sound where I was was surprisingly great for a massive arena. Maybe the fact that it was like 2/3 empty helped. Tons of empty seats and sections not even counting the uppers which were all closed off entirely. I was able to move around and get a great spot.

I skipped this one as I'm heading to Boston next week and the Beacon run. How full was the venue? Curious how he's been doing in these larger spaces (venue was maybe 2/3 full in Chicago).

It was empty in a lot of the upper seats but the floor was packed. I wish I moved a little closer, but I didn’t want to move too much. It was a really great show. Someone I know who saw Bob for the first time at Bangladesh, 1974, and a bunch more times said he was great. I usually trust his opinion more than mine because he’s more objective.

There’s the complete show. Sound was more muffled than I thought. I’m a little rusty. My friend used to be my good luck charm, but I’ll come back someday. The opening instrumental sounds like Mark Knopfler’s Darling Pretty which Bob turned into Pay in Blood

yes I just found out about that. Way to go. September of my years went straight to my heart as well as love sick and honest with me. Question: just wonder when he is going on that date he's been singing about for years now? Or is it just so he could get a song together? I mean it is a might long time to wait for a date? Just saying :)
