Getting very excited about seeing Bob at DePaul's snazzy new basketball arena in Chicago, even if the Amex-only presale is kinda wack.

Chicago and D.C. for me! Very excited for the D.C. show since it's general admission standing room. Should be able to get pretty close, unlike most of the other larger venues this tour.

Stoked!

Xcel seems like an unusual venue for him...any guesses on how much tickets will cost?

seriously

it seems odd that just days before presales and sales, ticket prices aren't easily found.

am i overlooking something?

Does the Amex holder deal apply to any Amex card, or does it have to be a certain level, like gold or platinum? Thanks!

And WHY does he have to be in RVA the same night as John Cleese, for which I already have tix? I know some would say "no contest." I'm practically saying it myself. But still, there are other options...

Looks like I'm only going to make one or at the most two of these... *sigh*

I'm surprised that there has been no mention of Dylan's remark regarding recording a song with Mavis during 2017 and how that might relate to these shows, and possibly a new album.

They are promoting her album this week, the first days of announcement.

Is there any rumor about the Bob/Mavis song being on her upcoming album?

I think it's not talked about because the thought of Dylan doing an album of celebrity duets is depressing as hell.

If I make it to Chicago I'll sure let you guys know - I'd love to meet in person. In fact, if there's a drink meetup I might go even if I can't score a ticket!

If I end up going to the Chicago show (which is very likely at this point) I'd definitely be down for a pre or post show meetup!

No ticket in hand yet, but I will definitely be going to the Chicago show. Count me in for the meetup.

As I recall, he gave her a song last tour with instructions to practise, or some such. Probably all he was doing was deflect marriage.

Anyone know what the hotels are like around the Philly venue, or is it better to stay city centre and use public transport. Considering it!

PM me for presale codes to a number of the oct/nov shows (they all seem to be the same). I'm at work so will do my best to respond. Will probably be out of pocket around the 10 a.m. hour trying to snag tix. :-)

When does the Amex presale start for the Philly dates? The 14th at 10am?

Yea here's the article where she mentions it http://www.rollingstone.com/music/features/mavis-staples-reflects-on-summer-tour-with-bob-dylan-w436420

That said, I'll be at the chicago show. Looking forward to the new venue. Maybe Jeff Tweedy will show up and play one off the new album he produced for Mavis.

On some of the shows at least, there is an AmEx presale for any card and then an AmEx preferred group of seats for only certain AmEx cards, but those seats are definitely not always the best.

Because the demand is so low for these shows, Ticketmaster is switching over to the "See the Map" option (or something like that) when you can see each seat that is available on a map of the venue; the switch is happening only 10-20 minutes after the sale begins. Once that happens, you can see that the AmEx preferred seats are generally just further to the outside of the VIP seats in a given row.

It's all a mess in my opinion, adding up to making it more and more difficult for the biggest fans to get good seats. But I hope some of that info helps a bit....grave

I attended the Outlaw concert with Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan and more in Detroit this summer. Because of that I got an email today, giving me the oportunity to buy presale tickets for the Dylan/Mavis concert in Detroit this fall. The presale is tomorrow; Sept. 14, from 10AM to 10PM. Try Olympia Entertainment at OEONLINECLUB@olyent.com The code is DYLAN. Good luck.

Thanks! I wonder if the code will work for Uniondale as well. Ticketmaster says an "Internet Presale" starts in 5 minutes, but it's not clear what that is. No password on bd.com

Update: Didn't work

Thank you, to the grave for the insights on the AmEx ticket sales.

Please, all, share my JOY: Row AAA, left on the aisle, Sunday night in Philly.

:D :D :D :D :D :D

Incidentally, the Live Nation codes [ https://concerts1.livenation.com/event/0200531FBB638106 ] I had worked for me, but haven't seemed to work for some. PM me is you'd like to try them.

Notice of bankruptcy proceedings will be posted in a forthcoming edition.

Looks like the Amex presale isn't available for the Philly shows. Other dates are on this list:
