in case it's not a typo the most likely guess is that the put Girl form the Red River shore and/or some of the live tracks that were on the Love Sick singles on the 3rd LP

Here's an ad for a 2-LP 20th anniversary release, with track details. Typo on the other ad?? Both ads show same catalogue no.

Can't see the point if there's no extra tracks or outtakes? By the very nature of it's length it was always spread across two LP's but it used to retail for a much more competitive price. I'm sure I saw it for £19. 99 a few years ago. Perhaps it's been re-mastered?

If they put out a CD with genuinely unreleased bonus tracks, I'll buy. Not interested in vinyl.

No, they won't. No odfficial Dylan reissue *ever* had any bonus tracks, apparently as per his request. I don't expect that to change at least as long as he's alive and kicking.

What about 'Shot of Love'? 'The Groom's Still Waiting at the Altar' was added to that.

No, it wasn't, "Groom" was on the original tape release. The CD simply followed the tape running order, but nothing was added that wasn't on the original run.

Also, I don't think a *vinyl* version, original or reissue, of "Shot Of Love" exists that has "Groom".

I feel just the same way! It's still a 'recent' album for me, God help me.

Yeah, unbelievable eh? 20 years between Blonde on Blonde and Knocked Out Loaded. 20 years between Knocked out Loaded and Modern Times. Life don't make sense no more.

According to http://www.searchingforagem.com/1980s/International026.htm:
Quote:
This album is unique in that it's the only Bob Dylan album which has undergone a track change.
This is because The Groom's Still Waiting At The Altar, a non-album 7" single B-side, was added to later releases of vinyl albums and the CD release.

The rest of the world had to wait for the cd release... 8)

Yeah, but ... this was no anniversary celebration reissue, rather a record co oh cripes, we might sell more if we include the moderately successful single track re-boot. Innit.

Sony just started pressing Vinyl again, so they probably figured they'd do this since the originals cost so much. The Music on Vinyl version sounds clearer to my ears, but this is nice to hear.

My vinyl does, unless I'm mistaken. Later pressings had it added if I remember correctly.

I guess that makes the original Shot Of Love more collectable than the later release - a case where "Less is more" is actually true, in the sense that it's a dismal album anyway, so the quicker it is over the better.

Ah, c´mon, Shot of love ain´t that bad. Yes, it had some sub par stuff, I would say mostly Lenny Bruce, which is a nice tribute, but one of his worst songs.
But Heart of mine, Property of Jesus, Watered down love, In the summer time and Every grain of sand make the record more than worth one´s money to me
