Bob Dylan at MTS Centre in July

There's just no stopping Bob Dylan these days.

The 75-year-old songwriting legend, who won the Nobel Prize for Literature last fall and has a new triple album, Triplicate, out March 31, also announced a North American tour this summer that stops at the MTS Centre July 12.
Triplicate, an album of American standards that includes Stormy Weather, Stardust and As Time Goes By, is Dylan's 38th studio album and the third-consecutive collection of songs from the era before rock 'n' roll gained prominence.

2015's Shadows in the Night, which focused on songs initially performed by Frank Sinatra, shot to No. 1 upon its release and Fallen Angels, which came out last year and included classics from songwriters such as Johnny Mercer and Harold Arlen, reached No. 7 on the Billboard 200 album chart. It was Dylan's 22nd top-10 album during his recording career, which began with his self-titled debut in 1962.

This is the one I really wanted to hit this summer. Last time I saw Bob on the twelfth of July a new son was born into my family the next day!

Winnipeg is always a win.

Yes, only one year away! Maybe sooner given the right venue.

I've been to the suburbs of Winnipeg known as Quetico Provincial Park. Best place in the world to drink water right out of the canoe. Well, I mean out of the water beside the canoe.

I'm quite the voyageur and nasty fast on portages

Oh, and Llittle llamas music by the alphabet library is up to 4 this year. The year of the letter D. Guess who he'll be getting? (A was Abbey road, B was the Band, C was Cash, and today I have to figure out which Dylan album he is getting).

Edit:
Oops I got my kid's birthday wrong this year by a day. That's what it's like having two.

I just realized Bob isn't playing High Water. I thought that was in pretty much every show since 2001

It went down in the flood. Maybe even in Europe, I haven't been following that closely.

High Water has only been played once in 2017. In the first gig in Stockholm. It was dropped for the second gig and hasn't been back since

I noticed that High Water was gone a few shows into the European tour and was initially shocked, as that was previously one of my favorite songs from "The Set" and a highlight of most shows (at least while the two-set format was still in play). Maybe Bob felt it didn't work as well when it wasn't opening the second set, and after all the arrangement fiddling last fall, he just decided to drop it. Even though it's one of my favorites, I didn't miss it at the show I saw in Barrie. But I'm surprised it took this long for some of you to notice that it's gone...!

Spirit On The Water is gone, too.
People have filling up these threads for years, commenting Bob should drop it. Now he did and no one cares either way. :|

By the way, no High Water and no Spirit On The Water... I hope no one dehydrates.

BOB DYLAN MTS CENTRE WINNIPEG, MANITOBA CANADA July 12, 2017 - Audio - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-IKY14weAA

"Music is a tone of voice, the sound life uses to keep the living alive. They call us back many times a day from the brinks of torture - the holes of superstition. There never was a sound that was not music - there's no real trick of creating words to set to music - once you realize that the word is the music and the people are the song."
