No recording yet for the opening night. Unless you can find something on YouTube.

Overall, that lineup and those performances are his very best. I really believe that now, all things considered. It's a shame it took him so long to get those guys and it's an even bigger shame than they are no longer his band

They were damn good times.

It seems the show has now evolved to the point of losing Tangled, Love Sick and Highwater altogether---three of the major anchors. It will be interesting to see where things go from here.

Nice video popped up on YouTube in the last week of my favourite Tangled from 2017 (and my favourite overall gig too from a performance perspective): Nottingham - he rolled back the years that night with a razor sharp focus and vocal that soared in a way that reminded strongly of 2000-02. He was in that kind of commanding form.

Listening to Syracuse version now. Arrangement is back to the more acoustic version with Stu playing the intro.

First show of the tour was just posted in the recordings section, thanks mike and JF.

Tangled is... interesting. Sometimes you gotta wonder what was he thinkin... maybe he just needs a change every now and then to wake himself up. Glad this arrangement didn’t stick around.

From the four (great) shows, I've attended (Hamburg, Lingen, Düsseldorf and Frankfurt) TUIB was alwwys different, had always a different vibe – as every show was unique in its high quality, too. Interesting, that TUIB in the first show (Hamburg) had a "more electric" drive, as you call it – while Frankfurt was the usuael acoustic guitar driven version. Maybe it is interesting for you to listen to ...[/quote]

In Hamburg it had a different beginning for the first time, at least I think it had. No acc guitar, Bob starts singing quite soon.

Hamburg version missed the acoustic intro due to Stu's acoustic not working and he ad to switch the another guitar the first 30 seconds or so.
