Bob Dylan headlines 38th Montreal International Jazz Festival
Artists from 17 countries and all musical genres will take the stage at 11 venues between June 28 and July 8

MONTREAL - The indoor lineup for this summer's Festival International de Jazz de Montreal is out, and the only question is where to begin.

Bob Dylan is clearly the biggest name playing the festival's 38th edition. The 75-year-old folk-rock legend and Nobel laureate will play the Bell Centre June 30, accompanied by his band.

King Crimson, The Four Tops and The O'Jays, The Harlem Gospel Choir, Ravi Coltrane, Feist with Charlotte Day Wilson, Lizz Wright,The Bad Plus, Buika and Tanya Tagaq are just a few of the other acts headlining the festival.

All in all, artists from 17 countries and all musical genres will take the stage at 11 indoor venues between June 28 and July 8.

The outdoor concert lineup was unveiled May 30.
For the full indoor lineup, visit the festival's website: http://nouvelles.equipespectra.ca/blogu ... 17&lang=en

55 years since Dylan's first Montreal shows
Dylan's concert will come 55 years after his first shows in Montreal in 1962, when he played four nights at the PotPourri Club on Stanley Street — for which the budding bard reportedly received $125.

Dylan extended his stay in Montreal to play a July 2 set at the Finjan Club on Victoria Street.

A recording of that set captured the emerging star playing 11 tracks, including "Blowin' in the Wind" and "The Death of Emmett Till."

Are you taking your drawing of Bob with you for signing ?
If you're near the front and he's not taking any notice, you could throw it onto his piano with a pen

Have a great show

Haha! Can't wait to hear how it goes. Much respect if you do actually throw it on the stage and he notices.

Best of luck kaleidescope!

I once saw a lady beside me on the front row throw a Terry's chocolate orange at Bob. He just looked a bit startled and walked off, without chocolate orange.

So perhaps a slightly altered set for a festival? Or does the type of festival it is mean the set will stay in tact?

ADMIT YOU LOVE ZEE FRENCH, ER!

30 JUIN, 20 H
$62.50 à $137.50
taxes et frais inclus

Le légendaire auteur-compositeur-interprète Bob Dylan, accompagné de son groupe, vient à Montréal nous présenter ses chansons intemporelles

Concerts similaires

Aliocha
Ron Sexsmith

Those Frenchie Bastards I love, zey love to put zee dainty suffix "-elles" on the word intemporelles ('timeless') to make it agree with the plural subject 'chansons'. Otherwise it's just spelled 'intemporel.' Adjectival agreement! Absolutely adorable

Ok wow. I am speechless.

I got tons of smiles and we locked eyes multiple times, sometimes he was "dancing" at his piano while looking directly at me....the feeling was insane.

He sang Autumn Leaves and looked directly in my eyes for the whole song. I was first row, in front of him.

I still can't believe this.

I took my drawing out at the very end, during the ovation. He saw it, Tony looked at it and nodded, looking impressed.

I'm on a cloud.

Oh and he was on fire, his voice was ON point! Amazing show, best I've seen so far
