Bob Dylan to perform in Kingston – First Canada Stop in 2017

Legendary singer-songwriter Bob Dylan will perform at the Rogers K-Rock Centre on June 27. It will the first stop on the Canadian segment of his world tour, which started April 1 in Stockholm.

Dylan, who turned 76 on May 24, will be making his second appearance at the Rogers K-Rock Centre. He first played the venue on Nov. 15, 2008.

Tickets for the Kingston concert went on sale on March 24 and are available at the box office.

Dylan is touring in support of his new triple album, Triplicate, which was available on March 31. The album — three discs each featuring 10 songs — features new recordings of American classics such as Stormy Weather, As Time Goes By and September of My Years.

The 2016 winner of the Nobel Prize for literature toured Europe earlier this year, making stops in cities such as Frankfurt, London, Dublin and Glasgow. The tour resumed June 13 in the United States, where the last US concert is June 25 in Syracuse, N.Y.

Two nights later he plays in Kingston, followed by appearances June 29 in Ottawa and June 30 in Montreal. The tour ends July 27 in Victoria.
(SGB edit: or did…but Victoria has been cancelled, so this leg of the tour ends in Vancouver now…AND we are awaiting Fall Tour News!!!)

Probably wandering around asking everyone if they've seen Sweet Melinda.
That's what I'd do.

Local gossip: Charlie hung out at The Toucan last night watching Rueben De Groot and his band Rocket Surgery.

Also, yay Bob soon!

The times that a live setlist is drawing a big crowd on a Tuesday night are long gone, I guess.

It'll be the same or a very similar set as the nights before. People will comment how much they've liked it against all odds, that they thought the band was excellent etc. You could copy and paste any setlist thread from this or any of the previous tours and still would get 95% accuracy - for better or worth.

they are the missing link still missing in the new age, they have what no one's got - that intelligent hilarious je ne sais que.
they are looking for management, they should call Red Light in c-ville and ride their way to casamigos opening for Stapleton. call coran somebody. please.

Yes. Actually going to these tremendous shows (the whole point in the first place) instead of sitting at home in front of the computer bitching about the setlists is a much better use of one's time.

This was my first Bob concert! It was great to see him live and at a time where he is putting on such great shows. Having never seen him before, it was a treat to hear some of his classics like Tangled Up In Blue and Desolation Row live. Also, the performances of Summer Days and Duquesne Whistle were especially spirited. As well, I'm glad he kept Make You Feel My Love in the set. Now, on to Ottawa!

But this is much cheaper, and I'm not sure if my time is wasted here more than there.
