Anybody else got post tour blues?
Lucky enough to see three shows at Bournemouth, Wembley and the Palladium, but already I wish I was going to the States next month.
But I ain't! :(

Yes kind of, mine is more of a 'back to reality' sort of feeling. Two shows for me this time and I've only usually seen Bob once on his tours. Loved to have gone to Dublin but really couldn't afford it.
I've just had a fine through from Nottingham Council for entering a bus lane at night

moab

Yes, very much so. I was lucky to see four shows but it all finished at Wembley. Still we have to move on and my sadness was tempered by seeing a fine gig by Eleanor McEvoy at The Slaughtered Lamb, near the Barbican in the City of London. Lots of reminders of the tour, firstly as we entered the music venue (a basement area of a pub) there was a poster advertising a Bob Dylan night they have next Sat 20th May - various singers are appearing. Secondly, I was chatting to the support artist, an eighteen year old girl from Darwin, NT, Australia. I told her I'd been doing the Dylan shows and she was in awe. He was her inspiration and her fave Dylan song is the same as mine - Positively 4th Street! And to top it all off Eleanor actually included a song from JWH in her set - I'll Be Your Baby Tonight. So Dylan will always be with us - just three days later three things Dylan sprang up out of nowhere so stay focussed and another tour will soon roll around, hopefully!

I'm hoping for a European autumn tour in 2018, assuming Dylan takes the best part of a year out after touring the East Coast and Canada this summer, before going back on the road in the States next summer.
He certainly didn't appear to be running out of steam on this tour. He appeared quite animated at times (at least for Bob) when hammering that piano.

Great shows I thought. Went to the 3 Palladium, Bournemouth , Nottingham and Wembley Arena. All were excellent and consistent - maybe 2nd Palladium was the best for me.

My favourite was Bournemouth, but probably because I was near the front! :D

I only did the Sat (2nd) Palladium show, but it was easily the best show of the ones I saw this tour. I've seen a host of people who went to all three shows there and both the Sat and Sun shows were the most favourably looked upon. By virtue of the fairly good seat I had the Wembley show probably just had the edge over the Bournemouth show. If the whole Wembley show carried on the way of the first six or seven songs it would have easily taken it. Both Wembley and Bournemouth were better than the show I saw in Paris at the Zenith.

Myself and my son, still in the afterglow of the Liverpool gig of Monday last.

Tom has been wearing the Dylan T shirt all week, I must get it in the wash.

I'm currently listening to the Tempest album and Bob sounded better on his recent tour, in my opinion, than he does on the original recording!

Really enjoyed the 2 shows I went to.
The whole experience. Traveling over from Singapore, meeting friends old and new in Frankfurt, then onto The Palladium. Fantastic.

I cant stretch to a USA trip but I'm selfishly hoping for a tour leg in Asia in 2018!

Think you may get it, Bard. But I think Australia is more likely.
Based on recent geography, I'd say Australia in the Spring, the US in the Summer and Europe in the Fall are the three most likely outcomes for 2018.

imo Dylan (almost every other act I go to as well) live is always better than the studio recording.

A great album title this would be... Post Tour Blues

I want new material. I hope Bob is up to the task.

I love these Tempest songs live - especially Pay In Blood. Menacing!

Couldn't agree more about Bard's comment regarding Pay In Blood (don't know how to do this techy quote stuff - I'm old!). A good album track comes alive on stage. Probably my favourite Bob song from this tour.

I think once the new US tour starts and all the reports, photos and set lists start rolling in things will improve. Furthermore hopefully there will be a pool game to take part in and Autumn tour dates may start appearing.

Pre-tour blues? Happiness? Pretty excited to see the summer tour.
