With two nights off he would have the ideal opportunity of doing a very low key pub gig somewhere between London and Cardiff. A last minute, hastily arranged gig that would catch everyone out would be quite something for the locals. Obviously local printers would have to be contacted to supply hastily arranged posters from artwork provided!

:D Wonder if he would do an acoustic set on his own or have the band with him and scale it down using a small inhouse pa ?
Imagine walking into a pub and seeing posters with Bob Dylan and his band appearing here tonight !!

The "Don't You Dare Miss It" bit of the poster would seem very cruel to the rest of us

I don't think they would need posters.
But if they did it would be Blind Boy Grunt or Lucky or Jack Frost or etc, etc.

He could do some acoustic, but I think he might need Charlie for that.

Then if there is no bootleg (except the one he has done) then we hear he chatted and told jokes :?

OMG!!!!! He better just skip this idea. Too hard on the rest of us who can't be there.

Yeah, wasn't there a pretty small venue he did a few years ago in Australia?
And it was announced during the same tour, wasn't it?

Well, that was a 1,500 capacity venue, so hardly a pub and just a little bit smaller than, say The Capitol Theater in Port Chester that he's going to play in June.

There have been a number of shows with under 1,000 capacity on the NET - around 15-20 in total, I'd say, but the closest he came to an impromtu pub show would have been the open rehearsals in New Haven in 1990 and Fort Lauderdale in 1995.

The closest to a pub gig would have been, I guess, the Bitter End in the mid 70s.

Chances of it happening now? Less than zero, for security reasons alone.

some years ago he played at some of his grandchildren's kindergarten. That hardly counts as a pub (!) gig, but must have been the smallest audience (in more than one sense!) that he played to for many years (beside the Experiment Ensam)

He did an impromptu gig in vicar Street here which has a capacity around 1000. I think more for standing gigs

He played an impromptu little gig in a pub in Larne before he came over to Scotland in 1989.
