setlist now at Boblinks - same as yesterday
(Except slightly different running order – but I guess that's just a mistake)

This indeed is the right order, Bob, Charlie and Donnie were discussing it between songs. BOATM strongest of the 3 nights. 17th and 18th superior to the 16th. Stormy Weather much better than yesterday. Bob seemed happy, smiling and dancing a bit. Nice versions of Tangled, Love Sick and Desolation Row. All Or Nothing At All still the weakest song on the setlist but was sung really well tonight... I mean it!

Security at the front were I was sitting was just ridiculous. Really made it hard to concentrate on the music with them walking around, giving instructions and standing right in front of you. Same goes for the concertgoers who try to ram their way through the security to the front rail.

Great shows

One of the security people told me that Bob doesn't like people running to the stage. After that happened the first night, Bob's team complained about it at the AFAS Live venue. They were asked to tighten up security near the end of the show to prevent that from happening.

And by the way, "All or nothing at all" is a great song. Love it

Funny thing is, in Hamburg, Dylan security told venue security to let people go to the rail. In Düsseldorf, it was obvious security withdrew before the encore to allow people to the rail. First Amsterdam, it just so happened. And now Dylan changes his mind?? :?

Yes, I think he did.
The security lady told us that the security of AFAS didn't like it, because it is really hard to stop those people.
The 2nd night one of their people got hit doing so.

Maybe they should just keep their hands off "those people." They have no business touching me if I'm just standing there trying to see the stage.

As for Bob, what's it to him - he plays his two golden oldies, then he's leaving anyway. Nothing to get hung about.

Oh gee, I'm just telling you what I've heard. Didn't know it meant so much to you.
I just think you shouldn't blame people who are doing their jobs. They're send there with an assignment they don't like either.

On several shows I've seen people trying to jump on stage during the encore. I can imagine that when the set up of the venue is not prepared for people standing up front that can be quite scary when you're 76 and not as quick on your feet anymore. At AFAS the fence and stage are not that high and quite close to each other.

But in the end, if Bob and or the venue don't want us to do that, we just shouldn't do that.
I had 3 fantastic nights in Amsterdam, without trying to get to the stage.

Maybe they should tie people to their seats so as to calm Dylan's paranoia. And cancel Saturday's GA show, because there are going to be people at the rail.

again, a GA show is prepared for a GA audience.
Some seated shows are prepared for a GA audience, but not all seated shows are.

The last thing I will say on this matter:

I'm grateful that I'm in the position to see three Bob Dylan shows in a row. I feel so privileged that I find it insanely spoiled to get into a fight with a security guard because I want to be closer to the stage, even though they are very clear in telling me that I'm not allowed.
I'm not 13 anymore.

Let's just enjoy the greatest artist of all times, and not waste our precious energy on trying to claim a better spot in the venue because we sometimes have a shitty ticket.
Because that my friends, seems very futile to me.

I attended the 1st 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed both. Was lucky enough to be front row the 2nd night so that's the one I'll remember more I suppose (and was fortunate enough to get a world live debut) but both worked for me. I really like the new THC by the way. Kind of reminds me of Series of Dreams.

Sorry if this has been discussed and I missed it.
Dylan plays piano on "Stormy Weather." Is this the first time Dylan has played piano on one of the standards he's been featuring in his live sets over the past three years?
It's interesting to hear since Al Schmidt mentioned Dylan and Tony worked out the arrangements for the band prior to the full band coming in to record. As I recall there was a piano in the recording studio. It would be interesting to hear a bit of Dylan's process where he worked up piano and guitar part which were then used by the other players as a guide.
